Yeah and If I would have known the fucking numbers to Eurojackpot from 5 years ago today I would have bought him myself for Barca...
Alvarez had a couple of good goals for City, that's it - Atletico overpaid for him and now they're playing a stupid game I hope Laporta/Deco avoid. We have more than enough players with his profile already, why the fuck pay +150m for Alvarez if Adeyami can do it for free? Yes, I'm a Alvarez hater - dude is so fucking overrated its not funny anymore.

If I got a penny for every time Minguella said something like this about X player I would have enough money to eliminate the club's debt.
 
And I heard comments like "well Arsenal are in for him too, so it most be ok for us to pay 150m" :lol: No, it fucking isn't :lol:
 
So after all this drama, they expect player to perform at the highest level in the upcoming season ??? They won’t even pick up the phone ffs

Atletico have a problem, they think they're better than what they are. Cool...
So now they're keeping Alvarez hostage it seems - I don't understand why, but that's on them.
Problem for them is they overpaid for him, don't really understand what they thought he could do for them - solve all their problems? :lol:

Alvarez obviously isn't the solution for them, but he cost them heck of a lot of cash - Atletico could have sold him long time ago to Arsenal for example if they would rather shoot themselves in the foot than selling to us - fuck em. But honestly he won't help them winning shit and they're just hurting themselves right now - they could have sold him to Arsenal for maybe 120m and reinforced their team with players that would actually make a difference... But this is some small club mentality from them and I hope they fucking choke on it.
 
Either way, we shouldn't enrich them with this bs move - they should keep him and I'll gladly watch him go down in value for each month...
Let them die on the Alaverz hill and we should have moved on long time ago.

They will sell him eventually just not to Barça

I think there is solid chance he eventually ends up at Arsenal. Which would be good for us too, because then we can snap one of Gyok/Havertz. Preferably Havertz
 
He didn't put up enough pressure for a move in the end. He had to repeat publicly he wants a move, do drama and threats, create a lose situation for them to keep him. That was his only chance to leave this summer.

It's his decision, fair enough, then he stays and we can invest this money hopefully in an experienced CB, who is more needed than a striker.
 
Barca move is off the table now he should do his best to at least get a move to Arsenal or somewhere. I feel sorry for the guy.
 
Imagine if we make some kind of deal with Arsenal that they buy him from Atleti and then sell to us for a bigger price

But you're not a scout, board member, coaching staff, sporting director at FC Barcelona, aren't you? So it wasn't about knowing the Eurojackpot numbers, it was about being a grade A idiot who can't spot talent and would gladly pay thrice as much for a worse player.

Had a couple of goals while winning everything there is to win with Argentina too. His price is inflated, but weren't you or others in agreement that 80M for a Gordon is right as that's the market? Considering that complete unknowns go for 120M, Alvarez for same money or even a bit more is not that ludicrous.

Going from Cholo to Arteta is not really a good career move, lol.

also, wouldn't be surprised if Atleti would inclued a clause Arsenal wouldn't be allowed to sell Julian to Barca/Real in next 4-5 years.

Something similar Napoli included in the Osimhen deal preventing him returning to Italy.

It is so bizarre that so many of you insist that it's Julian's fault that Atleti won't deal with us. It's not because he's soft (like you lot would even know what that means), it's because he's at a club run by children who hate us. It sucks, but sometimes we don't get everyone we want.

Yeah maybe Arsenal is not the best option. But I'm sure he would find a club if only he told Gil "Okay it doesn't have to be Barca, just send me away from here"

Maybe Bayern would be interesed, they will need a replacement for Kane soon
