There’s movement on this transfer, meeting in Switzerland between Atletico & Barça over Julian this Tuesday - reports from Argentina say the breakdown between player & club is irreversible

Julian Alvarez will be our #9
What's the source on that meeting?

Atleti will look like absolute clowns if they let him go after all these statements
Their SM admin was just fishing for likes. And to their president's statements, not wanting him to sell even for 200m is just bullshit, everyone knows this. He puts himself into a position he can sell before his fans. "I didn't want to but I have to."

It doesn't matter what is said publicly, important is what happens behind closed doors and the last word isn't spoken yet. It will depend on Alvarez, how much he will put up pressure on Atletico. No club will ever refuse 150m and keep an unhappy player, whose marketvalue will drop significantly and further risk the team's harmony just to prove a point. Clubs don't operate like that, no matter what they say publicly.

And people forget Simeone. He's a proud coach and if Alvarez says to his face he doesn't want to play under him anymore, he'll be the first demanding to transfer his ass.

Haaland will probably end up at Madrid, unfortunately. We're still one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, but we've lost some of the appeal and pulling power we once had. Next season CL should be our top priority.
I feel Madrid has more pulling power than us despite finances. Its due to the cl wins and more kids growing up as cr7 fanboys.

If we wanted Alvarez we shluld hsve bought him sooner. We rarely pull of these olise to bayern type transfers where yiu fet a superstar early on.
Always overpay as well.

Do some actual scouting, sign a prospect now and a guy that scores 20+ goals for now that can be changed in like 2 years if needed by said prospect.

Pretty infuriating we didn't sign him out of Argentina... I guess if our finances weren't totally fucked we would have done it. Another gift from Barto. Easiest South American talent to spot since Neymar. I remember watching youtube videos back then and thinking, yep, he's him.

And here's a controversial take (I guess): he's playing a better world cup than Kane.

He will have 2-3 weeks of vacation after WC anyway so plenty of time to sort out a transfer before he has to refuse to train.

We picked Ferran over him

Not that controversial, I agree...
