Would you sign Alvarez?

Hope we're not in for him anymore, we're be better of signing some "wonderkid" 9 now that we have Raph and Jesus - like that JJ Gabriel kid.

like that JJ Gabriel kid.
Nah that kid is far away from 1st team football.

But yeah, we should rather go for a Sesko, Panichelli, Tresoldi, Aslani type of player now.
I sure hope we look at Panichelli this Jan. But who knows if we will buy any.

Type of player we should be after now is LCB. And then some fullbacks

Even if Jesus suffers an injury, I'm perfectly fine with trusting Hamza as backup. Rather than bringing some no name randoms

Btw, we probably like Alvarez because he can also operate as left wing forward, similar to a David Villa. But then Gordon and Adeyemi, on top of Jesus don't make much sense.

How the hell are we gonna keep 6 forwards who all want to play and show qualities happy? Impossible.

I was in favor of getting him, but now there’s just no space for him in the team anymore. The offense is more than clicking and Jesus was the last piece we needed to have some extra rotation options.
Unfortunately, the ship has sailed.

Normal reaction from the fans. Camp Nou would boo such a disloyal player, too.

If Julian had kept his mouth shut in public this summer, the Barca transfer would've been more likely to happen.

Instead he decided to play politics and involve two big clubs in another feud.

Makes you question the plan we had. Same as when we wanted to get Nico. Seems as if we got saved by our own failure.

I don't think so. With a club like Atletico, you need outside pressure for them to move. They never wanted to sell him to begin with. He only made his public announcement, when they refused to listen to his transfer wish.

We'll be back in winter for him. Simply because we promised him. Not with a 150m offer anymore obviously, but Deco will still try.

papa perez vibes

Maybe, but Julian going public doubled the bets. To explain it simply - Atletico cannot appear as losers, just because a player wants out. It's about pride.

Rapha - Alvarez - Lamine starting lineup with Gordon, Adeyemi for rotation and tactics. We're not that stuffed in the attack. One injury of Rapha and we're still without a #9, because Jesus doesn't have the fitness (yet) to play longer than 15 min.

All nice and well but for 150 mil.? Insanity.

We can’t have an €80m player like Gordon sitting on the bench just to make room for another expensive new toy.
Why break something that’s working and repeat the same mistakes RM keeps making?

Apparently we never offered 150m, just a starting offer of around 100m what was also a reason for their angry reaction.
100m was the reported offer, but they straight away rejected it, suspecting some back door contacts with his agent. The reason they never negotiated on our offer. The reason why Laporta went public as well, because this is not normal conduct.

Well, he sucked when he came on - stay clear and get us a god damn CB!
