Joan Laporta

From Xavi, Imho and I love the legend but he went where former legends are wary to go - critical of club & board

Only logical it comes with consequences and Legends is a soft ban tbh

He knows it’s on him to bridge the gap he is responsible for

If they can bring Koeman back, Xavi won’t be a bridge too far

Xavi overdid his role. He not only supported Font, but he started drama and personal attacks during the elections against Laporta and wanted to drag others to his cause like Messi, who was more intelligent and remained silent. No matter if Xavi told the truth or not, if you behave like this, you can't expect Laporta to invite you back like nothing has happened.

As others said, he has only himself to blame. Polarization goes both ways, it's always more intelligent to stay neutral.

FC Barcelona informs that, on this day, the mandatory conciliation claim prior to the filing of a criminal complaint for an offence of slander under Article 205 of the Penal Code has been submitted against the President of Real Madrid, Mr. Florentino Pérez, as a result of the statements made by him at the press conference held on 12 May and in an interview with a media outlet the following day.

The purpose of this claim is for Mr. Pérez to retract certain statements that he made with knowledge of their falsity and which are slanderous and offensive to the image and reputation of the Club.

Should this claim not be duly addressed, FC Barcelona will proceed with the filing of the corresponding criminal complaint.

Indeed inherited two future balon dor winners and three golden boys.

Could soon enough be three balon dor winners and four golden boys.

All helps. Must have inherited close to a billion worth of talent there and to emerge.

A dunce is the one who claims Laporta should have kept Xavi for years and not punted likes of Gundogan.

A dunce is the one who claims Kessie/Casado better than likes of Frenkie and Gavi more important than Pedri and better in a two etc.
Yeah and kudos to Laporta for making it all happen. We've been immensely successful under his leadership all things considered. I wish we had had a better run in the CL. That's all! Also a tough ask when relying on academy players in several positions.

If he had been continuing as our president since 10, I think we would have atleast two or more CLs by now. Pep might not have left in 12. We wouldn’t have mediocre coaches like the Betis one. We would have secured Kroos in 2014 imo. Would be run in good health. And could’ve been buying world class players repeatedly. We are just unfortunate in so many ways to have been ruled by the most incompetent and corrupt board of any top clubs from 2010 to 2020.

Going to be on TV around midnight.

On Chiringuito.

Hopefully he doesn't do a Florentino.

Laporta playing hardball on Alvarez, Ferran, Raphinha is what is expected from a president. At least he learns, slowly

Spain are now "we" all of a sudden. Interesting turn for Laporta.
Is that a turn? If my memory serves me right Laporta has always supported Spain.

He’ll add that Catalonia is his national team and that he’s doing it for the players. But he still supported Spain.

Riiight. He surely has principles.

Not too many I hope but supporting Spain seems to be among them

It would be silly for the Barcelona president to not support the national team of the majority of his players.

Pep says he doesn't support Spain on the other hand, but he didn't exactly show that principle as a player.
