João Neves

Ok, so I posted his thread in the old forum so I will do it here too.

In all this shitshow, I still can't get over the fact that shortest player on the pitch, at 1-1, in the most intense moments, smuggled past the giants in this Bayern side and scored a super clean header from corner to give his team a crucial lead.

Unexplainable footballer. Capable of literally anything, anything you can imagine. Defending, control, final third, aerial duels (despite being 170cm), technique. Complete package midfielder

He has always been good in air and scored headers.

Also Musiala was marking him which probably helps.

He wasnt great tonight though other than that really.

Continues to be underappreciated

Vitinha got the MOTM but for me Neves was much better

He is the backbone of this PSG team

No one knows what will happen next season.

A manager changes everything. Only time will tell how RM perform next season.

PSG wouldn't be as strong without Neves.

Football iq doesn't always translate to real world iq, but I hope with this guy it does

Because if he arrives, we might be cooked

And because if he arrives, he might be cooked. Like Mbappe now watching PSG lift trophy after trophy
lol good luck to RM.

PSG won't let go of their best players easily even if the they ask nicely. Not even 150m would be a good deal for PSG.

They can releat Madrids tripleta, be one of the greatest teams ever.

They will not let him leave.

I belive Doue could go to RM.

He is not starter and PSG is linked with Diomande

It defies logic that any player would leave this PSG under Lucho looking odds on for a 3-peat for Madrid at this moment in time but I think any of the PSG stars would if Madrid came calling.

It's the legacy boost, PR boost

You can be the main midfielder in a side like this PSG. But nothing beats being a star in Madrid or Barca. Even the people who don't follow football or have anything to do with it know the main Barca and Madrid players

Some PSG stars will definitely leave after next season.

The cycle will inevitably reach its end and then PSG will have to transition into a semi rebuild of their squad.

All time great teams don't last more than 3 or 4 years. It's like lightning in a bottle. You need to refresh and rejuvenate the personnel every few years.

I don't think so. The players aren't dumb, and you can't bully PSG to sell their players even if they wanna go.

The only player that seems to wanna leave now is Barcola, probably cause he wants to be starting more games, same for Goncalo Ramos and Lee, seeing as they don't see enough minutes and they may recoup players like Diomade and Akliouche for replacement.

Joao Neves just said that coming to PSG was the best decision he made a week ago, so I don't see any of their stars wanting to leave. Enrique has built something cool there.

It's still Real Madrid, everyone would rather play there then some farmer league in a plastic oil club without history if the wages are similar.

I think you should look at the wage bills in Madrid; they pay a whole lot. Their player wage roster is about 307m compared to PSG's 174m, which is 130m more, so they are definitely paying more.

Ceballos is on 10.4m yearly, Mbappe 31.3m, Alaba 22.5m, Bellingham and Vini 20.8m, Trent and Valverde 16.7m, Cama and Tchoumeni 12.5m, and that's among others you can check on it.

For PSG, Dembele is the highest with 18m, Kvara 16.4m, Marqui 13.4, Hakimi 13.3, Vitinha 11.8m, Nuno 10.9m, Joao Neves and Pacho 5.8m, Doue 6m. Keep in mind that Hakimi, Vitinha, and Nuno recently extended their contract to 2029 last year, and you've not seen them saying they wanna leave. Neves and Pacho have also agreed to extend to 2030, so I think they're locked in

Don't understand what this has to do with my post, never said they don't spend on wages. If Madrid and PSG offer a player a similar wage at least 90% would prefer Madrid, that's my point. It won't be hard to convince players, even if they love it at PSG at the moment.

Convincing Nasser is another thing but could see him doing a deal with Perez much easier then with us.

The stats say otherwise, Hakimi, Vitinha, Mendes, Joao Neves, and Pacho would get great offers with great salaries elsewhere, but they're locked in to PSG cause of the project.

It's very easy for them to get higher wages in a Club like Madrid, so I'm showing you that Madrid can't easily get PSG players currently. Like it or not, PSG is run in a great manner currently, and players are attracted to the project.

If they stop winning for 2 seasons, players would understandbly want it, but there's no reason why they would want out now

Almost all of them would leave QSG to join Madrid this second if they offered them similar wage and the clubs agreed a transfer. Playing in Madrid is a different stratosphere to Ligue 1 and this plastic shit club, even for homegrown players as we saw with France golden boy who was born in Paris and still left for Madrid. It will probably happen again soon with one of them if the rumors are correct.

If Mbappe could come back to PSG now, he'll be out in a flash if they came for him. He went to Madrid to win the UCL, and PSG has won it twice.

How many times do you see players taking wage cuts to play Madrid, so what makes you feel it's not majorly about the money? I just showed you a stat where Alaba earns 22.5m, way more than Dembele. Ceballos in Madrid earns over 10m, Trent earns 16.7m which is way more than Hakimi and Mendes who are far better than him. so you see many of these players are getting massive wage increases playing for Madrid. If players are winning the best trophies in a Club, you won't see them pushing to leave, that's normal

Eventually, yes. But for now I think they would try to match Madrid's hattrick of consecutive CL wins.

In general I agree players go to Paris for the project lately. It is one of if not the most exciting projects in football right now, and definitely the most successful. But there are two major factors at play here, given the reported numbers are true: Real's been in the business of signing many free agents which naturally increases the wages, and for foreigners France is much better than Spain in terms of taxes, lower gross salary can result in higher net wages. Up to 50% of their employment income can be exempt from the French income tax.
