It's better this way. These friendlies are meaningless and I'm actually hoping we lose most of them, so Flick ends up like the picture above and KNOWS we need more.
Worse thing would be for the team to play well and make him think " Maybe we don't need another centre back or striker, after all. "
The team still has some glaring holes and he needs to push the Sporting Department to fill them.

What a load of garbage by the Athletic as per usual.
Barca was in no position to go for big targets over the last couple of summers. Basing an article on Real signing Bellingham while Barca struggled to register Oriol Romeu is their level though.
Some players will prefer Barca, some Real. Majority will be open to both and will decide based on terms.

Good job leaving Casado and Roony home for the Udine matches, a clear sign he doesn't count on them and should look for new homes. At least Flick does his part while the SD (and most of barcaforum) think outgoing transfers are impossible. Sadly I expect loans or very low transfer fees but we should get rid of them. I'm sad for Casado who is a true cule but he doesn't have a place here if Rodri is coming. Hope he doesn't go to Saudi though, he can be a solid midtable midfielder somewhere in Europe.

I stopped clicking on Ped's videos some time ago. Too much Barca glazing and positive agenda that borders delusion.
Even in this video there's a Disney narrative - Bernal could learn from Rodri... yeah, Karate Kid Bernal. If we sign Rodri and he fits the team, Bernal is done at Barca. Exit next summer.
Bernal still has options for minutes with Frenkie out.

It's a temporary situation, unless Frenkie retires. With Rodri, Bernal is 3rd option behind Spain NT and Netherlands NT CDMs.

Yeah, he is engagement whore for sure and does a lot of glazing, but sometimes analysis is good. Definitely disagree about Bernal. From what i've seen from him, he's not ready to be starter and that will be true for quite a time imo. He's better goal scorer than midfielder for now. His game is super raw and am not even sure, if he has the great future everybody here expects. His mind and reactions are too slow for a pivot and his passing isn't that great either. Likes of him will only benefit from not being thrown in fray as quickly as we've accustomed to recently. Both Rodri and Frenkie are in their 30s and can get injured any time and also need to rotate and will be close to retirement from big stage in 5 years. Bernal will still be in his early 20s by then. He has lot to learn and better off playing fodder games not CL nights or Madrids.

Ped is a good aggregator. He compiles all the online opinions and talking points into a single video which is really convenient for the viewers.
If you're watching him for tactical analysis then it's just a wrong choice.
I guess his target audience is considerably younger than most Barca Forum users.
His video titles are terribly repetitive though.

If it's the first option, I believe Hansi has made a mistake here. Surely he knows he can't rely on Martin. He probably knows he can't rely on Christensen either with his fitness problems. Araujo just left, it's a messy situation for LCB spot.
