Hansi Flick

Looks more like a promotion to oversee the entire club's psysical state. Pretty sure the new position is higher and better paid than "just" working with the first team.

Could be in terms of corporate hierarchy. In terms of first team football he is kicked out.

Great news. It was already rumored before and somebody said it wont happen. As i understand he has great reputation and very effective. Let him grow our choir boys into chads finally.

You sure you're not thinking of Holger Broich? That was Flick's first choice but he rejected the offer.

Might be. I don't remember the name. This guy looks tough though. Hope he can induce the same jawlines and beards in our boys.

Agree. It's not just the losing, it's the manner of losing. It's the total absence of everything German with this current generation of players as you highlighted.

No fighting spirit or will.

No cohesiveness.

No organization and discipline (this is THE quintessential German trait)

This is how you go from the nation that won all 4 of its WCs beating super teams and GOATs (1954 vs. the Magyars, 1974 vs. Total Football Holland, 1990 vs. Maradona, 2014 vs. Messi) to a nation that shits its pants in a PK shootout against Paraguay. Isn't this the 1st time ever that Germany lost a PK shootout in the WC?
The players don't care, DFB is full of morons and the NT coach position is basically a cash grab scheme.

Normally, the negotiating team should have taken a hint when Nagelsmann insisted during the contract negotiations that the only target agreement for the WC is making it out of the group stage - which he kinda scraped through. And since Nagelsmann refused to step down, they now had to negotiate the exit. DFB would have owed him 14M in severance pay but since N. is so so generous, he left for 7M. Thanks for playing.

This btw. is the same stunt that Flick pulled too. I kinda like Flickball though, so he gets a pass for that :pep:

Herr Flick is back in the Ciutat Esportiva to start the preparations for his 3rd season at the club. This man has changed the club so much in the past 2 years and hopefully in the coming 2 seasons (I don’t think he makes past 4 seasons at Barcelona), we can manage to win that coveted 6th European Cup.

It's interesting that all of attackers & midfielders look off it at the WC but other two defenders who are regular starters look better.

Just tells you what his strengths and weaknesses are as a coach.

Just a interesting observation
