He was really smart with that PSG move. People don't even watch mcdonald league and only check the scores. He can miss 5 sitters, score 2 and people will be 'Ferran scored a brace'

In big games he always had that problem at Barca, he would waste golden chances, and then you have his entitlement thinking he deserves to start at Barca, and not accepting any other role

Don't think they expected an upgrade over Goncalo Ramos. They just wanted a similar profile, or someone who doesn't upset their current setup. If Haaland was available or some other top striker, they would have went for that and pushed Dembele to wings again.

With that being said, Ferran Torres is lucky to be born in this era of humanity when being mediocre is good enough to make you rich and popular.
 
He is not mediocre. He is still an outrageously talented athlete that would wipe the floor with any of us in a football game and that's why he earns money for it. Probably earns more than he should, as do all footballers and in fact all athletes and many many more people... but that's state of the world, not just now but always has been.

But for Barça starting striker, you have to be a level above. To be best of the best. To be good at pretty much everything. That number 9 shirt is heavy from the names of all legendary strikers that played here. Ferran definitely overestimated his abilities when he was disappointed we don't count on him as starter.
