Ferran Torres

Calma. He has sucked here for vast majority of his stay (was it 5 years already) and now has his honeymoon at lower pressure evironment. His attitude is also weird and immature to say the least. Was about time he leaves.

You shat on Gordon for not scoring in his first few games, while he already has shown much better ball control, passing and general team play than Ferret ever had, let alone pace, pressing and atleticisn. Believe it or not, those are very important traits for Flick. Seems you've already forgotten all the tuna phases that significantly overwhelm shark time for Ferran. Can't rely on guy like that, when he doesn't have any other redeeming qualities apart from some purple patches with goals. His basics apart from "legendary movement" are worse than both Adeyemis and Gordon.
It's bad we didn't get proper replacements, but i'd rather not see his sad face anymore. Thanks for all the fish and good luck!

Of course not, our whole system and Raphinha's position change is only possible because we signed Gordon who plays great and the whole team works even better with this change. Only looking at the number of goals is a very narrow view he uses to continue his rant even though it's obvious Gordon wiped the floor with his statements that he'll flop.

Adeyemi is a great option off the bench against tired legs too, great job from Deco this summer. Not only on paper but it's already proven on the pitch. Ferran has no place in this team except being a sub for Rapha at 9. He can score whatever he wants in the farmers league, we're much better off with Gordon and Adeyemi who can actually play wing.

Aye, he definitely wiped the floor with my opinion in the summer that he is not good enough to be a Barca first choice winger that we sign for 80m, because his goalscoring is non existent ............ By scoring 0 of the 26 goals we have scored this season.

Truth is he has been carried by true World Class players like Fermin, Rapha and Yamal and even the likes of Cancelo would have better numbers playing at left wing, let alone Adeyimi.

The copium here is somewhat amusing as Ferran continues to shine, with another beautiful finish at the weekend.

The fact of the matter is that we essentially traded Ferran plus 30m for Gordon. Now for me, Gordon never has been nor ever will be as good as Ferran, and it's becoming more clear by the day that Qsg pulled our pants down on Ferran as they did with Dembouz.

How we are letting a small team in a farmers league dominate us in the transfer market, which they don't seem to be able to do against any of the other big teams, despite their petrol dollar advantage, is a cause for concern.

In contrast, we have not been able to steal one youth player from a relatively big club, despite having by far the largest pull in world football at that level with the best youth system in the world in La Masia.

Ferran will continue to bang in goals. Gordon will continue to not. And Raphinha performing miracles at centre forward will continue to blind fans to the mistakes that have been made in the summer.

Incomparable players and positions.
We traded Rashford for Gordon in the LW, Rooney for Adeyemi in the subRW (got injured that's why he was not transferred), and Ferran for Jesus in the sub striker position.

The last one was not the choice of the club, but of the player who wanted to go. We essentially gained 40m with that last trade, and freed up FFP space. Was a great decision financially

Ferran wanted to go because he thinks he is better than he really is. He wanted to be the main man, ahead of Alvarez (our primary target) or Raphina (our current starting striker).
Guess what? He is worse than both of them, and not only worse, but WAY worse in everything that matters in high quality games.
I could not care less if he bangs 30 goals in a farmer's leagues. We know who Ferran, we have seen him for so many years, and he is not at the level to be a starter for a top tier club.
And I bet when the crucial CL games come, Lucho will easily bench him for Dembele-Kvara-Doue trio that is miles better overall

The wildest coping ever. Raphinha was always the best and he played very much in the center in many games by shifting positions. Though now it's forced to play more advanced because we have no proper striker. All the transfers failed to bring more impact in attack except for Adeyemi. Jesus while a good player, 90% of his shots are passes, Gordon has no business in attack. Though Ferran is not a star poacher he is a better striker than Jesus or God forbids Gordon
The plan was Adeyemi for that kid and Rashford, Gordon for Ferran, Jesus for Lewandowski. Raphinha saved their asses by playing brilliantly as usual, but he always did that, the point was to bring someone to help or even improve the attack. At the moment Adeyemi confirmed and Jesus might work against farmers, with Gordon in the utilitarian role. Not a good look when we consider that some teams in UCL have proper midfielders and defenders that will slow down this attack based mostly on movement not on poaching and 1v1 talent.

Gordon for Ferran? lol Gordon isn't a striker. Torres is a striker. Torres on the wing has been and always was useless. Gordon is a creative winger and he's done exactly that. He does not play striker. Comparing them is nonsensical.

Regardless, I'd like to see Gordon take more chances and get a few goals. Confidence can only improve, with a goal snowballing into more. Either way, he's been overall very good in build-up, pressing and creating chance/assists.

We do not miss Torres. He can score 100 goals this season for PSG and I don't give a shit because 90% of the time he played for us he was garbage and frustrating. He can take the beta energy out of the club with him. His "confidence" after the WC goal doesn't change anything for me either.

Unreal cope from the Ferran fanboys.

We don't miss Ferran and his transfer was excellent for all sides involved. Enjoy your boy in mcdonald league.

Torres wasn't a striker. At most you can call him a forward.

Like Raphinha is not a striker. Or Dembele for that matter.

Just because they are currently playing there doesn't change the fact that for most of their careers they were wingers/forwards.

I think it's clear that we don't miss Ferran, same way I don't think we miss Dembele.

They're great additions to PSG. Ferran has looked impressive with them (better than Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos so far), but we'll see how it goes in the long term.

If there is any coping that is being done it is by the Ferran haters not his ' fanboys '.

To dismiss the great start he has had to life at Qsg, and merely cope by hoping he crumbles to pieces in the big games, ( Spoiler alert : He won't. ) is wishful thinking.

I have been absolutely consistent in my opinion of Ferran, even when he was here, and that is that he is not world class but a far better footballer than people here think he is.

Let's be clear also, nobody here is lamenting Ferran has left. People here are lamenting the fact that we replaced him with a guy whose egg timer of when he gets injured is running out day by day.

Even worse is the fact that we let ourselves get in a position, AGAIN, where Qsg could pull our pants down and play with our balls as they pleased. After doing the same with Dembele. I lament that. They have bought Dembele and Ferran from us for less than we paid for Gordon. I FUCKING LAMENT THAT.

And worse of all is the fact that a tiny French club in a pub league nobody watches constantly gets to bully the biggest club in the world, which they are unable to do with any other remotely big club in the world. I find that to be a massive problem personally and an indication that somehow, somewhere, we are doing something very wrong.

Who is dismissing that? He is having great time in PSG and that's great. That's why I said it worked out well for everyone.

We got an upgrade on CF in Raphinha who is having an unbelievable start to the season. And we signed 2 players who can fill the gap on LW since Rapha moved on striker.

Nobody pulled our pants down. This summer was the time to sell Ferran. He had 1 year on his contract and his real worth was maybe 70-80 mil. It went down a little and we got our price.

Well tell that to Deco and the stooges who overhyped him as possible striker but Gordon for Ferran is a known thing.

He is bailing PSG out every game at this point

Not sure at what point PSG wakes up and returns to their former self. I watched this full game and Barça is a level above PSG currently

Hopefully we can smack them on Parc des Princes, though they will have extra motivation. But it could also give our team a lot of confidence, if they beat back to back champs

Anyways it's great to see Ferran is having great time in Paris. Excellent transfer for everyone involved

I think we're way better than them now, they seem to be a shadow of themselves but things can always change.

That game would be exciting

It doesnt really matter how PSG are playing now.

Its pre season for them. They are only 5 points behind 1st spot. UCL doesnt matter in the league phase.

What matters is, if their key players are getting rested but also are maintaining game rhythm.

Their season will start around Dec onwards.
