Erling Haaland

City will be disaster this season.

Real Madrid is already stacked.

Next year or after ot he will be our player.

We just don't need to overspend on striker so with 100k capacity we get Haaland as Laportas last trick.
How do you figure that? He had a 2034 contract and seems to favour Madrid anyway.

Not only that but his salary + bonuses must be absolutely humongous. We're happy if a sale results in an FFP margin of a few euros. 🤣

His release clause is rumored to be 180m.

Then you need to pay him 40-50m gross per year at the minimum probably.

It's not happening.

Poor Deco. Dude identifies Alvarez as a transfer target and fails. Now fans want Haaland instead. XD

Watch City lower his price after Maresca and other flops try to do a Pep job in England.
Anyway Haaland is not a wunderwaffen, but a good poacher, with a little bit of training headers he has the potential to be a wonderful poacher. And he is quite fast for his body and we need easy goals, space produced by a clasic 9.

Clearly Barcelona can't buy him at this time because Barcelona runs on a loss for ages. Paying 80 on Gordon and selling Ferran for 50 is a loss of 70 mil. realistically. We recovered a bit with Adeyemi, paid the right price for Rodri, but the math doesn't add up. The club still runs on a loss due to low IQ staff. Hopefully we don't pay 120 mil for 6 goals. That would leave us with Gordon and Alvarez for 4 years.

BTW we lost 344 millions on Griezmann, Coutinho, Dembele and Malcom. That gap is real, not a potential loss like this 70 mil potential loss. (Gordon a 30-40 mil player buyed at x2 and a 70-80 mil striker sold for 50).
So we are progressing but we are still far from professional football and making a profit from our main job and affording stars.

Don’t lie, we lost 292 million.

Btw. for Haaland to earn a salary of over 30 million, he would have to play like prime Messi, and he’s nowhere near that level. He can go to Madrid for that salary if he wants, we’ll survive without him.

With adds ons and process fees it's close to 344. I don't have the paperwork so maybe you are right.
We would survive, Haaland was totally necessary before joining BVB. At that time we needed badly a fresh striker, he was poor cheap

I don't have the paperwork either, but I do have access to transfermarkt.com

Maybe he had a say in it too, and I doubt we were in a position back then to pay the release clause upfront plus a signing bonus. In the end, the total would have been around 90-100 million.

Before bvb he was 20 or something. It was a clear cut option to bet on.

Trade Fermin and value him at 130m, then add another 120m. Total 250m deal to sign Haaland. Here we go…

Fermin was a bit shit yesterday and showed some of his old tendencies again. Hopefully he’s just rusty. When you look at our AM options, Olmo seems ahead of him right now, while Ebrima is lurking too. If we also bring in Alvarez at the last minute he eventually could move to AM/LW also?

Even if this doesn’t happen right now, it feels like a very realistic option for next summer. There’s always the possibility Haaland becomes fed up with the coach or City, who knows. But we need to nail this one very soon.

It’s not like he can’t return to City later in his career regarding the new contract he signed. If you get the chance to play alongside the best player and right winger in the world, a bunch of World Cup winners, and some of the most tantalising midfielders in the world Pedri, Rodri, Gavi and Olmo - under Flick, with everything else we’re building, why wouldn’t you? Theres a spot thats vacant you couldn't time it any more perfect for him. He could have a bull's-eye shot at the BallonDor and Champions league glory again.

The reception he got from the crowd and our ground felt so natural, and the way he acknowledged it was interesting. He’s a smart operator. The football world would be absolutely sucking in its breath if this happened.

City XI/depth:

Doku / Monga
Marmoush
Foden / Semenyo
Fermin / Cherki
Anderson / Enzo / Kovacic
Bounida / Nico González
Nico O’Reilly / Nouri
Dias / Khusanov
Gvardiol / Guehi / Reis
Nunes / Rico

Fermin fits into that City team very well too. City could maybe go for Laturo or somebody else, wouldn't it be crazy if Alvarez returned there last minute and Haaland here 😆
