Erling Braut Haaland

When I said, 220m for Haaland is better than 100m for Alvarez in our context, this is what I meant.

Guy is pure pure ST and a brute. Him in ManC is actually hampering him, he has so much more potential. Him with Flickball will be diabolical.

Also guys demenior is quite suted to be a Barca coded player.

Erling Haaland has now scored 27 goals in his last 14 competitive international matches for Norway.

His brace against Brazil tonight brings his tournament total to 7 goals in 4 games at this World Cup.

If you completely isolate his active streak in competitive fixtures for Norway (excluding friendlies), his numbers are absurd:
- 14 matches
- 27 goals
- 1.93 goals per game

He is also currently sitting on 62 goals in 54 total senior caps at 25 years old. To put that in perspective, Mbappe needed 101 caps to hit the 60-goal mark for France, granted he plays wider.

I do believe Barca is his dream club. Is a massive fan of Messi and see Mbappe as his rival. I think we can possibly land him in 2-3 years if we put our hearts on that, convince him of our project and keep on inproving in champions league but we will have to evolve our style of play to bring the best out of him. Even though he has played great for City, think Liverpool during Klopp’s time would have made him far better.

I doubt he will leave City as long as they are competitive. And if he does want to leave he will have every single big club to choose from, Barca, RM, Bayern and PSG. How could we possibly compete with those finances?

Contract until 2034 btw. At first I thought he'd be a journeyman sort of like Zlatan but at this point he might stay at City for a long time.

Gerd was somehow even better than Haaland

Gerd not only scored every time but he also scored every time in the big games
He is the closest to him in modern era. Haland needs to be consistent in CL knockouts and thats it. He has massively overperformed for Norway imo. His stats for Norway is even better than Mbappe’s for France. He is the closest to Gerd Muller we have seen in last 3-4 decades imo.

Depends on how City performs in CL and epl isn’t gonna be a cakewalk for them anymore without Pep. Infact, I don’t see any team dominating PL anymore. So, its upto him and his ambitions.
Regarding all the clubs waiting for his service, I truly believe he fancies Barca more than anyone. Messi is one factor but Mbappe is another one imo. Also, City is unlikely to stop him to move to any other club outside England. They don’t seem to operate that way. But he is the kind of striker where 200 million € seems easily justifiable. Even if we get him at the age of 27-28, we could get atleast 6-7 years of his service. He is ridiculously pacy for his height, not injury prone and seems like an absolute gold of a person in the dressing room. He needs quality service though and the club should keep on bringing quality players in the middle and wings till then. One man can dream.

He seems to put more effort and passion into playing for his country. The question of whether we should go for him comes down to if he would do the same if he came here.

At City he seems to be content letting games pass him by, picking and choosing when he is up for the physical battle, because deep down be knows he is too big for them and their shit fans will allow him to get away with anything.

But here we would need him to have the ' dunking on Gabriel ' energy pretty much every game. And he would certainly not be worth the 250m odd to buy him, without it.

Either way, he is as likeable as any footballer out there, and as such, I hope he stays clear of Real, as everyone who ends up there tends to become a poorer human being.

I was among those that did not appreciate him due to one-dimensional character of his game and fact he plays for the club that basically uses cheat code through unlimited financing to dominate others.

His goals on this World Cup made me re-consider. I still do rate Kane higher though.
