The reality is his level of play hasnt been all that great or warranted the step up like that yet but can change quickly.
 
Training with first team doesn't mean much as there is plenty who does especially in WC year when half of the squad will be late to join.

Yes, pre-season. Yes, Phase 1 of pre-season is without most of WC players but also why it matters for Tunkara. He's not going to win trophies or spot in XI but training under Flick, learning from 1st-team players, building relationships and tactics with staff while learning to become a professional athlete. This move accelerates his development so doesn't mean much :lol:

Same will apply to your boy Hamza, btw

Again just utter nonsense from you.

Young players get promised to go on tour regularly if highly rated. As a carrot to renew when getting a lot of offers elsewhere.

Yamal being called up to train at 15.. outwith pre season has no relevance to this.
 
Lamine played in league game at 15, not just preseason.

Last year there was around 7 players announced to join the first team, and only Roony stayed for first team, with Dro hanging between both teams until he got sick of it.

Getting to preseason is a formality and barely mean shit. If he gets promoted it is worth mentioning.

Sure, Messi and Lamine had the preseason as prospects, so did Gai Assulin and Marc Crosas.
 
Lamine started training with Xavi at 15 before he debuted, he wanted to start him even sooner but because of his contract situation held off

Pre-season 2025 under Flick:
Virgili (loaned out), Diarra got injured, Toni & Guille, Dro, Torrents, Roony, Kochen, Dani was injured

These were specific players selected for pre-season. You want to mix Gai Assulin & Crosas much less anyone else who never trained under Flick? Think about what you post before you post it
 
You yourself just used examples of players who combined 303 minutes under Flick, You used Lamine under Xavi as an example, but complain about using examples of other coaches. Are you sure you were thinking before posting.

The only young player that Flick promoted and got any significant minute is Bernal.
Otherwise, Flick either use older Barca b players, or those already proven first team player.

As I said, it doesn't mean much. There are more young players who were used as fillers than those who makes it to first team.
 
Won't be surprised if he's one of those players who play better taking a step up surrounded by better players and structure.

My thought also. This dude will probably be ready to get some minutes already in the first half of the season. I know he's played mostly as CAM, but we're stacked there and Flick should play him on RW - also less pressure than playing centrally. He's alright 1v1, he's fast and has the physique/speed imo - he of course isn't a winger like Yamal was that age, but if we don't get a RW backup Tunkara should get some minutes there.
 
The way he has played this season he looks far off. Hasnt looked all that amazing for Juv A and dont next to nothing at B team level.

It can go a lot of different ways.

A couple years back folk thought Guille and Toni were on verge of first team but reality is they were not that great at Atleti level to warrant it.

For the likes of Yamal he never relied on physicality nearly as much as Tunkara does and likes of Guille did and they have to get past that when start playing with men.
