Do you think it's a good season?

But once again it's with a bitter "what could have been" in CL.
That's the nature of the CL. All teams, aside from the winner in the end, ask themselves what if and what could have been if this and this happened. How many times was for example City the best team in the world under Pep and how many times did they actually win it?
That's why the league will always be the most honest and important title, because it depends mostly on the work of the entire season.

Last year, an ABSOLUTELY unexpected near triplete….this year we won la Liga (100 points?)and beat RM in the supercops: very good season!!
CL is shaped by moments and luck, both last season and this one, things just didn’t fall in our favour.
All of this achieved with a team and a financial situation not exaclty ideal.
Extremely proud of the style of football we are playing and extremely satisfied with Flick.

I understand it's an easy question to ask but in some cases you just get outplayed by the other team, in that case there is nothing to argue about, like the way RM went out. Sure there was some controversy regarding Camavinga but in hindsight Bayern were the better team and deserved to advance. Many times Pep went out because the other team played better over two legs. Same as us during Lucho era apart from treble.

In our case I feel we had the upper hand vs PSG until Araujo, were better than Inter but fumbled defensively and now also vs Atleti with Cubarsi. Unlucky I guess but I think team deserved more than go out in all those ties.

Maybe yeah. It's probably a 7, that's the most fair rating. But people saying 8 and 9, I don't know what is wrong with you guys

Last season a very solid 8 because we won domestic treble and were minutes away from CL final. It would be a 9 if we lost the final to PSG. And it would be a 10 if we won it all. And this season is clearly worse than the last, in terms of results
This.

I don't know guys, it's probably time to raise the standards. With all due respect to league titles we won

League is something we have more or less dominated over the past 2-3 decades. Most fans, including me, are very satisfied with this but we would simply like to see that next leap and do something in the CL. And if not win it, at least go as far as we can - which this season and last was 100℅ the finals

People on here know I'm probably one of the biggest Flick supporters. What he has done is remarkable. But we still follow the same standards. I understand our financial situation very well, but we did have the quality to knock out both Atleti and Arsenal

The elimination was very unfortunate and several things just didn't go our way. Which is why I don't even blame Flick, who I think actually prepared 2 very good games. But this keeps happening every year, so we have to ask ourselves is it really misfortune or something else involved

I don't know if I was too harsh with giving this season a 6. Maybe yeah. It's probably a 7, that's the most fair rating. But people saying 8 and 9, I don't know what is wrong with you guys

Cause it’s back to back.

Mentally teams have shown to have trouble accomplishing it. And on track for 100 point season still

No team has managed to win back to back LaLiga titles since Barcelona themselves in the 2018-19 season by the way.

Do you only give a 10 if he wins the treble? FOR ME it depends on the circumstances and expectations. If two 2 ago, in the summer, I had predicted that with Flick, given the squad he had, we would play brilliant, spectacular football, that we would literally annihilate RM and that we would fight until the very last second for the treble, I would have been considered ready for a straitjacket.

For me, last season was a 10.

This season:
Solid 8. More than just good.

TalkFCB understands these frustration and how we fucked up, this is why most gave this season a solid 7 and nothing more.

We can't keep throwing away easy paths to the final, he's referring to the last two seasons but for me we've done that basically 5 times over the last couple of years.

For my expectations at the atart of the season, it is a solid 9/10 season. Objectively I think though we underachieved and bottled some games, so a 7/10 is more like it.

We dont need to chase 100 points. Once its done, give them a break.
They will suffer again at WC.

Next season we go again.
