Agreed about money. Can't see Alvarez happening. CB though...
 
Which leaves us in a position to try to go for a fluid attack made with fast players, rather than known goalscorers. We'll see if Flick has what it takes to make it work. It's no easy job to get the balance right and some things things about our tactics will need changing.

Now that Cancelo and Rodri appear to be done, just give me a solid CB and maybe we can do something more next season than in the previous two, despite the apparent issues at the central forward spot.

We need a big scoring season from Raphinha without repeated muscular problems, and for Lamine to upgrade his scoring numbers by a good bit as well. They will need to carry the load regarding end product in a bigger way than last season. Or to transition to a more defensively cautious, possession based system where you don't need as many goals to win games, a la Spain.

What depth? Eric is gonna be played RB. We have Cubarsi, Martin, and Christensen who is here one day and you can see him again in a year. Am I missing something?

Yes, you count 5 players who can play as CB - Cubarsi, Martin, Christensen, Eric and Kounde.

While fucking up another position. These are makeshift options, not depth for me. We have one starter, a missing starter, and two back-ups in Martin and Christensen/Eric.
 
He did have an experienced CB next to him instead of Martin. And probably 2 of the best 5 fullbacks in the game atm. And better tactics that don't see defense as an afterthought.

He is depth. But that's about the only reliable option. We have had 4 CBs last season + permainjured Christensen that got game time at CB. Cubarsi, Martin, Garcia, and Araujo. We had 4, now we have 3. One got loaned.

You count Kounde as CB even though he hasn't played CB for us for 2 games in a row in years. That's not a solution, that's a cry for help. :lol:
 
Solution at CB is straightforward. Sign starting CB, move Martin into a back-up, problem fixed. 4 players for two spots who played there consistently. One for deep back-up considering his injury status is a big unknown.
