Yet here is Ronaldo disrespecting his own country basically saying he carried them to relevance and they are nothing without him

There were talks of feeling sorry for him a few pages back as if he is the polar opposite to his fans, but the truth is, is that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
This social media campaign against Messi seems far too convenient for me. It almost certainly consists largely of paid bots, but I wonder who is doing the paying? Wasn't it proved on the old forum that Ronaldo was paying social media bots?
And then there will be the sly digs that will follow, the liking of posts disparaging Messi's achievements or the odd " The ballon d'or / World Cup is a joke ." comments, whilst his rabid fanboys ridiculously claim he has always been respectful to Messi.
Ironically, the best thing that could happen to Ronaldo would be for him to be served a huge slice of humble pie. Embrace it, swallow it down, drop your ego, unburden your soul. Give up the fight you cannot win and be content with what you have. Some of life's greatest humiliations have the power to free us if we give them the chance.
But instead he throws the humble pie away and makes up lies and conspiracies to keep the delusion and angst within himself going.
My violin is not even tiny on this one, it's fucking non existent.
