Cristian "Cuti" Romero

Coach clearly wasn't interested.
Not that I agree with it.

But the technical team just didn't see a CB as a priority.

He's class.

I don't know why the technical staff didn't want him ( deco & flick!). Especially with him being so inexpensive.

As good as or better than everyone we have at CB.

Pocketed Mbappe like it was nothing, you wouldn't even know he was playing. Sure, he's a ticking bomb at times, not a strager to blunders, but when he's on, there's few defenders out there who can match him.

Sadly he has the qualities we miss at the back. Brute force in 1 vs 1 and aggression. We are too passive and we would've benefited from having a no nonsense tough prick of a defender.

Let it go mate, he's exactly what we are missing at CB.

Leader, aggressive, good on the ball, bags of experience and in his prime.exactly what we need in defense.

Totally agree, exactly what we need in defense.
A pillar, a cornerstone of the Argentina side that won 2 CA and WC.
And he was a bargain (around €40m).

Was moaning about not getting a contract renewal at the beginning of this season. And his form dipped last season.
Dunno, could be that body is gassed cause of time under slot.

Dont have the answer regarding him.

He has generally been more of workhorse type than technical type. Could be less what is needed in current setup. Haven’t watched the team in while.

But maybe who knows, we have something in mind, other than that Dutch kid who has little to no experience in big games. Nijstad or what's his name. Certainly don't want another teen rookie.

Schlotterbeck has a clause according to some reports

Nathan is also there but would probably have to pay up to make Betis sell

If he wore the Barca jersey, if it was a CL game and if the ref went to watch the VAR replay, this would have resulted in a red card. Don't kid yourselves.

He would be great for us, even better if he was left footed.

He didn't do anything wrong yesterday, Jude threw himself under him, really don't get what the fuss is about except distracting stupid madridistas from Perez and Mourinho incompetance.

This is collision for me, picture looks bad but entire video is ok. But that ankle stomp od Fede should be red

I'm not saying it should be red. I'm saying, if he wore our jersey in a CL game, away from home, opponent fans entire stadium booing, ref goes to VAR monitor and sees the picture, he's getting a red. Cubarsi last season did far less.

Look at this. Simeone is extending his leg backwards, hits Pau and falls. What's Cubarsi supposed to do? Teleport himself away from getting kicked?

It's an action that VAR was NOT made for, and as you say could have easily been manipulated against Cuti, or more than likely against us had it been by our player.

You slow it down and shorten the frame and it looks like a Cuti stomp.

But you watch it in real time and Bellingham has slide past the ball and fouled Cuti as the first contact. The foot that Cuti has coming down is what would have played the ball bad Bellingham not slid and fouled.

Basically, Bellingham stomped Bellingham.

It's hilarious to watch the Madrid deflection attempts. The only hope is that the RFEF do not cave in.
