CL Quarter Final: Barca - Atletico 0-2

We have the most stupid defenders in the entire world. Season after season, they repeat inexcusable mistakes by not understanding it's always better to concede a goal instead of a red card. Every fucking time, we destroy our CL run with brain farts. It's beyond frustrating at this point.
This is spot on.

Without the red card I think Barca win by a couple goals. Its really unfortunate. It’s going to take me a couple days to not be pissed off about this one.

Not over till it's over. But we need the following lineup next week, not negotiable.

Lewa
Cancelo-Fermin-Yamal
Pedri-De Jong
Balde-Garcia-Araujo-Kounde
Garcia.

I think I need to give up on UCL. Its not going to happen.

We will win countless of LaLigas like in the last 2 decades we did, and everyone in this fanbase and team will be happy with it.
Fuck me, man.

We lack the serious and adult character for such games. Every season, we kill ourselves with inexcusable braindead mistakes. It's as simple as that. Obviously there are also other reasons, but that is the main one. This team still has a lot to grow mentally.

Was convinced it was gonna be the same as it was back in 2014 or 2016, beat ATM in LL and get knocked out in CL by them.

Yet, given threre is zero chance Barca could beat Q$G/Bayern in the final and an Arsenal beating in SF wouldn't sound great either, it's better we get out early because the team can now give their full energy and focus to LL where they have a great chance.

If Atletico plays next week like they have played in their last two games against us, we can absolutely still qualify. But it definately has become tiresome how we like to unnecessarily make things complicated for us.

The only positive thing from tonight is that we avoided yellow cards which would have made certain players unavailable for the second leg.

They always play much harder and better at Metropolitano.

Also there is no need to hope for such an outcome. Even if they would somehow manage to knock ATM out, there is no good in losing a CL final in case we manage to knock Arsenal out too.

If we put aside the centreback duo of idiots that we all know should start for Levante, not Barca, the absolute worst thing I have seen in this match is Pedri.

The guy is the supposed second best player in tje squad, best midfielder and captain today. And he gets replaced at half-time in a moment like this, when he needs to step up and show something else. What a disappointment. Zero.

easiest path to the final second year in a row and we go and fuck up. This team and its "philosophy" is not meant for CLs unless you have a super team. Forget about winning this tournament with a dumb as fuck high-line at all times.

Thought the red card was questionable. He didn't have control of the ball; it was behind him and he was trying to reach it with his calf, causing contact with Cubarsi.

Even though they didn't score, Barca played REALLY well with 10 men. Glad to see them field an aggressive team in the 2nd half.

Fermin is fantastic with beating a player and starting penetration/attack.

Yep something is off with Pedri. Normally I would say Flick is crazy for taking Pedri off when we are a man down and have to control the game, but he was visibly off tonight and had plenty unusual mistakes.

We lacked creativity and everything was going through Yamal. We missed Pedri, yet he was available. Very very disappointing from him. He has to redeem himself in second leg

How unlucky can you be with the red card and freekick goal in one action. Players should learn that it is better to let them score than to play one less.

Always such a stupid approach to competions and games at Barca.

Spent a huge amount of effort and energy at home in a meaningles CdR remontada they won 3-0 just to lose 0-2 in CL weeks later... Typically Barca.
