Lucho's PSG are building a dynasty?

The last 2 years (since 2024) they haven't lost an important tie in Europe.
Beaten everyone and lifted almost* every trophy

*Apart from that Club World Cup final against Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca should be proud of this badge

That's exactly why it's a joke award with the criteria changing every year to suit their favourite narratives
Nah it's fair

People look at players from smaller countries not having the teams for WC as some kind of disadvantage or injustice

But it takes a great deal of responsibility as a player to wear the shirts of Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France etc. Let alone be the leader of these teams. Not every player can do this

And we don't know if you put Kvara in a Brazil shirt at next WC if he would lead them to the title or he would just receive hate for not stepping up in big moments... like for example Vinicius

With Georgia, you take them to Euros and you're a legend. What if Vini played for Georgia? He wouldn't be shat on all the time about how he didn't perform when Brazil was struggling. He would be celebrated as a sports icon in his country for playing for Real and maybe taking Georgia to some tournaments

This is the way it really works. Kvara is not a victim. World Cup is biggest competition in the world. This year it was an expanded format, his team didn't even qualify. Maybe if he was in WC and he scored 4-5 goals... he would be a serious contender.

And after all this, they wouldn't even give the award to the best player at the World Cup.

Another reason why it's a joke.

Kvara was the most important player in PSG's CL campaign this season.
That was witnessed in all the KO ties...

Yet, for Ballon D Or, other factors also play a role, and there is a big problem with the fact that his total numbers are low (since PSG in the league were resting players). Nothing like last season, when it was a much easier decision to give it to Dembele who had hit elite numbers in all comps.

Let's not forget that FFP has absolutely fucked Villa and Emery has never spent freely here unlike his competitors

Doing the best job in club football @fergus90

Arguably the best manager idc
The job he’s done makes him the greatest manager in our history given what he’s up against in terms of budget and competition.

I like the transfer business we’ve done so far as well bar Garnacho. Can’t really see that working but Unai likes to try and recover a former prospect. Sancho ended up generally quite useful not in the way he was at Dortmund but definitely played his part.

That's what PSG do. They rest key players, to have fresh legs against teams from stronger leagues who can't do the same. It's sneaky, but smart, and a benefit of Farmers League. If you can win your league at a canter at 30% the effort, why shouldn't you do it to get better prepared for when your season really starts in March? For what? Out of fairness and respect for the French league? Please, French league doesn't even respects itself.

I should give Kvara the BD for 3-4 elite games in a year vs notable opponents? Nah...

Random thought popped into my head.
When was the last time a team with a all white back line won the CL? Has to be over a decade.

Assuming Garcia starts over kounde. We will be breaking that trend line.

That's why we should get Murillo as our new centre back.

Black enough to break the UCL curse, but not black enough to offend the Catalans. :lucho:

Some crazy games in qualifiers haha

Israelis bottled the cl in stoppage time, lost in extra time

Celtic botlling a 3-0 lead from first game

Nearly 6-1 but LASK missed a pen.

I can't remember when Scottish football was last this bad. Over and over again their teams get humiliated in early rounds.
