PSG defended well, but even so, the Bayern players arrived constantly in situations to do serious damage. They just fucked it up almost every time with piss poor shots, useless crosses or back passes.

PSG defend much better than we do, no doubt, but their real big strength is the front 3. All super fast, all capable dribblers, all scorers of big goals in big moments.
 
It’s a bit ironic. Today bayern stepped away from overbuilding on their attacks. They actually attempted shots earlier but somehow all at the keeper. PSG mentally more mature. Kompany learning experience.

The Bayern attackers were poor tonight, but to PSG's credit they kept Kane quiet which was the most important thing. He's not missing half chances.
 
luis diaz and musiala a lot of dribbling but need to up their production. Musiala puts in a lot of these performances in CL. 2 years ago against Real in both legs. Lamine way clear of him.

Kane and olise world class but were not able to score more today.
 
Would think Rice will have to have the game of his life for Arsenal to have a chance.

He played well against them last season and carried ball up park multiple times.

Bayern lacked that a bit. A midfielder who could carry ball into PSG before set.

PSGs midfield didnt do much either on ball to be fair but worked their cocks off.
 
Arsenal has chance in that their solid defense can disrupt the opponent. Type of team that won’t need many chances on the break.

But I made my prediction and sticking to guns. PSG wins it
 
PSG should simply give Arsenal the ball and press. No way Lewis Skelley/Odegarrd and Rice can play out of that. Disposess and perform that transition offense. As simple as that.

That's the other scenario. Playing for extra time for pens and hope to get a few dead balls meanwhile. And I expect this from Arteta. But, if Arsenal try to play in the midfield, that is basically a deathwish and what PSG can only hope for.

Press what? Arsenal will play it long. They avoid sequences of short passes precisely for risk of bad turnovers.

Arsenal have weapons to trade blows with PSG. But not sure if the Arsenal defense can really hold off attackers like Kvaratshkelia, Doue, and Dembele. No offense to EPL, but you don't find quality like that these days in England.

PSG favorites no doubt.

Rice was one of there best players v PSG last season. They were not just shelling it long.

PSG battered them with ball in opening first 20 mins or so of first leg and then Arsenal held their own and played well in France.
 
A funny reminder that if you compared dembele to mbappe 2 years ago, people were ready to sent you off to asylum. That vindication!
