No shite. He was injured for almost half of it. Of course he wasn't overplayed this season. The point is to prevent multiple key players getting injured in the crucial phase of the season.

Remember when Koeman played Pedri to death and in the following season he had all sorts of problems. People need to understand that football is not like a video game where you press reset and you start from zero next season.

One of Raphinhas injuries came from him trying to come back too early and another came from him being a dumb cunt and pressing like fuck in a a meaningless intl friendly.
 
In fact Flick realized the problem of injuries this season, and I hope this is an indication that next season he will do both things: rotate more, and prioritize games.

Nobody is impressed by making a spectacle vs lower level sides and creating loads of chances vs them with a lot of effort put in for pressing and such. We're past that point now.

Raphinha pushing himself to come back too early is also ultimately on him and club.

There are a ton of players who played 4K+ minutes last season who havent had muscle injuries in same way.
 
Next season:

1) Copa until semis is strictly for players who didn't feature much in the league.
2) Players subbed when the matches are almost done (especially when match every 3 days schedule starts to creep in, or NT breaks are looming), they can sulk and throw bottles until they get over it.
3) A different variation, less pressing oriented approach for smaller games.

Get all three implemented ASAP.

These 3 measures, and transfers should give us better chances to arrive in better shape for CL later stages. When the games are much tougher, the teams are bigger, and the mistakes are more costly.
 
Players have been subbed when games are done for most part.

Barca have also been taking foot off gas in games when ahead and playing it out.

Barca as a team are not tired.
 
Also, we should look at Lucho's model of building form during the course of the season. The only one who does this is Lamine, who reaches his peak from late February onwards. PSG under Lucho does that on team basis. We should try to do that.

Not a good example. Farmer League factor and luxurious squad. Luis Enrique had Kvaratshkelia as a sub vs Chelsea lol in CL knockouts. And let's not even mention how all French teams and their league bends over for their masters, postponing games and such.

Barca cant do that in same way PSG do as they have more or less gauranteed league title. Barca dont.
 
We don't want to exaggerate and treat the players like some babies. Nothing too drastic. You have game in CL vs some EPL side away? Unless you play in the league vs Madrid or Atletico, you rest them or sub them early prior to the CL trip.
 
All in all, we could have reached another semi, possible final. Injuries yes, we were kinda torn apart through season with them. We were left without key players in every part of the season, and the worst thing is that those players couldnt even get to the optimal form yet some of them relapsed, or needed to change positions, or they played with players that they were playing least. Look at the mf.

So this possible liga title is excellent, considering everything that is around the club and in club. We need some reinforcments for the back line, its obvious that year after year that they are letting us down.
 
I know Im late and haven't read the previous comments but we are a better side than Arsenal. Hell, Athletico are a better side. With an unbiased ref I think they get at least one penalty.
 
Arsenal don't look like a CL winning team. They need some luck. For all the talk about them, they were instructing the ball kids to not release any balls and Arsenal players were throwing the balls in the stands to time waste.

Against Atletico.

Another easy final for PSG if they get the job done vs Bayern. I think Arteta is gonna be a massive Bayern fan tomorrow. But even Bayern, they defend poorly, but attack far better than Atletico. Arsenal need to upgrade their level by a lot to claim the title.

What makes you think PSG are much stronger than Bayern? They were pretty evenly matched and Bayern created much more.
