The last radial beam on the compression ring has been installed. There are only 12 boxes left in between, and that should be completed within a few days, maybe even in time for the Gamper match.
By the end of the year, they should gradually start opening the third tier and reach around 80000 seats. Then, towards the end of the season, we might even have the full capacity. Installing the roof will take at least four months, so hopefully we could return to the stadium sometime in October, while the complete project could be finished by the end of 2027.

Last I heard, we have booked the Montjuïc for half season. We aint coming back to Camp Nou before Jan, thats for sure.
Why didnt they do the roof this summer?

The stadium is reportedly booked until the end of 2027, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll be playing there for as long as the reservation lasts. It’s probably more of a safety measure, but who knows, maybe it will turn out that way. We’ll see.
The compression ring, the part that actually supports the roof, will mainly be finished in a few days. It couldn’t have been completed any faster.

Like I said im following the project. This entire season will be played with the current 60 k capacity. Then by summer the roof + last finishes.. the club will move to monjuic until winter break, only then barca will play at full capacity + roof.
The stadium is far from ready to receive beyond 60k and wont be anytime soon especially with the season starting and the reduction of working days.
Ps: yes I saw the planning for the partial and gradual increase of capacity this season.. its just marketing + politics. They wont.

I just hope the prices will come down once full capacity has been reached and the hype has gone down, because right now prices are like 100% more than before construction started. I'm not a member right now and I have no interests in becoming one, I only go once a season since maybe 6-7 (lol) years ago and I prefer good seats which I can't buy anyhow as a member... I travel with my 11 year old twins because I love for them to see Barca and eat nice food etc, but my daughter has 0 interest in football and paying almost €300 euros for her to sit and complain for 90 minutes is a downer

Best we can hope for is third stand lateral side somewhere in the second half of the season. Limak prioritizes the lateral mobility cores that lead to the third stand and started to build rooms for toilets and food stands. Will they manage it, who knows. Work will slow down again with LaLiga and CL returning.

It's not a big topic for me if we open up with bigger capacity. Over 60k is what most big clubs have as their max capacity. It is more important that the works bring the stadium closer to full completion. Only when everything is in place will this behemoth thing start to produce the big bucks.

Not on site obviously I mean the project and the news especially the insider news . Even Ferran Barniol said it in his last video couple of days ago.. said its unlikely that barca will play above 60k until after the Roof installation and the completion of the project.
To open the third tier even partially implies that the mobility (stairs , elevators , etc) are ready.. they aren't and they wont be anytime soon. They cant just put on a couple of thousands seats in the third stand and just invite the public. Doesn't work like that

We know what the stadium looked like when it was opened, and if we managed to do it back then, I don’t see why we couldn’t open some sections during the season now. It’s not like there’s some overly complicated work left to do.

The only accurate part of OPs post was that Montjuic is on cards for first 4 months of 2027-28 season for roof work
Current capacity is not 60k but 62,652
City permits remain a bottleneck but lateral section (70-80k) is still planned before end of the coming season

There is a great marketing opportunity we should not miss with new camp nou. With all that space around camp nou we should build a statue for Lionel Messi. I think considering how huge Messi is and will be post-facto that statue when he retires will probably be a touristic Must-visit for all tourists including the ones not particularly interested in football. It should be a big ass one with the barca shirt and long hair Messi (2011). Those tourists who come for the statue will inevitably shop nearby and drink in the adjacent diamonds and probably even book the camp nou tour.
Im sure they already threw the idea but its absolutely a must. Problem now is the toxic relationship between Laporta and Messi.
