Or Spotify Camp Nou.

Someone said the view problem from behind the goal has been solved but I still saw empty seats from that section so maybe not.

They moved the led ad banner a bit back. Against Espanyol the first rows were full again.

I think the issue is that UEFA doesn’t allow banners to be positioned like that in their competitions.
The seats obviously have to be more backed out due to the total number of spectators.
San Mames is the best example of what a modern stadium should look like.

Will be interesting to see how much happens off season when they can work uninterrupted for a couple of months again.

I think the bigger reason for the current speed is the lack of workforce. Pretty sure the construction could have been sped up by at least one year with double the workers.
Take for example the compression ring. They're building it only on the lateral side, while the cranes on the tribuna side stand idle. Nothing prevents them to construct the ring from both sides simultaneously, but the missing workforce. We're not Qatar to hire tens of thousands slave workers from India and Pakistan to build a stadium in 2 years.

Nothing to do with logistical safety reasons?

I'm no expert, but I can't think of a reason, why safety should prevent to build it from two sides. They're far enough apart for both sides to work independently from each other I think. I might be wrong though. But this was also one example.

In addition to reports that Limak had difficulties to find enough workers from the start, because they overestimated the available workforce in Barcelona, they're currently streched very thin on 7 floors simultaneously. 2 underground, museum floor, 2 VIPs, second catwalk (third stand) and the highest one they're building the compression ring on. And in every interior video from Ferran, I always think there could work way more people.
I think it's mostly a question of money, since we're paying the absolute minimum for such a stadium and Limak hires according to the budget we're providing.

Was thinking logistics based on the stadium being used for matches. I suspect they have prioritized keeping attendance high at the expense of taking heavy safety measures which affects the timeline. It's only natural the construction cannot go on at 100% efficiency and then put on hold for 2 days to have a game, and then continue from where they left off. Some zones/phases must've been paused fully is my guess without having seen the construction zone outside of the stadium.

@Loki summarized well and it seems clear that this is neither a safety nor technical explanation behind the slowdown ahead of the roof phase - its financial strategy. Apparently Limak applied for a local ERE to reduce the work force by 40% as a cost saving measure to likely leverage the financial year & line item construction costs wrt FFP. To that end, its also influenced by the capacity and gate receipts that were projected that had to adjust for the city permit delays

My guess, its an accounting game to push out timelines and accommodate their sports planning. In terms of stadium planning, my understanding was that the next club target is the completion of the double VIP rings by Xmas as it generates tremendous revenue

The difference the Grada have made to the atmosphere has been night and day, but the singing section has not been full every game, even with the restricted 800 capacity and that is a problem that has been going on since the Old Camp Nou days. It's a terrible terrible look.

Lots of the Grada simply don't bother to turn up for the smaller games and the atmosphere suffers as a result. I feared this would happen when they were banned.

They need to be told that they need to turn up to all the matches, otherwise a clean slate with a new group that will turn up may be the better route to go. A stadium's atmosphere is only as good as it's ' Ultras ' and, as things stand, The Grada are far too small in number ( barely 500 members ) and I hope the club have not given up improving matters.

Grada consists of 4 small groups which don't have many members. You know it's normal no fan group has the same numbers of fans in derbys or small matches but I agree they should work on recruting new members with the help of the club who could help with cheaper tickets, getting them away games tickets, help with choreographies, fines, merch etc. They were also restricted to 700 fans on the new CN until now that that number becomes 1200.

For sure the 1,5 year long ban didn't help, I'm sure they lost some members in that time but like you said it's still night and day to what was before they returned to CN. There is a huge margin for growth, I agree it's unaccaptable that a club like Barca in a stadium with 100k has a couple of hundred singing fans but I don't agree it's their fault. Ultra' culture in BCN was ruined with shutting down of Boixos Nois who were the traditional group with more members and after them we had long periods without proper fans because of no support from the club.

Anyway, now they are back which is great and they have an opportunity to grow with the club being successful, have the hype of the new stadium and I hope the club will stop making them problems but rather help them to create an even better atmosphere.

Unfortunately, I read it is likely we will play for 8 months or so in the Montjuic again, for the stadium to have the roof completely done. Work on the roof won't be done while still having games on Camp Nou. And the bad part is that the period affected will involve 2nd part of next season and 1st part of 2027-28 season.

So... next year we'll try to do better in CL while playing the knockout phase on lovely Montjuic.

It would have been ideal to install the roof in summer of next year + 1st part of 2027-2018 season to not lose Camp Nou advantage for critical games in CL. But apparently the time frame is too short for that.
