Wont mind him. But he has a 75m RC, and I dont think Sociadad will let him go less than that.

For me 75m for a 29year old Oyarzabal is not a good deal, more of a desperate measure.

Not for that kind of money. I think they would let him go for less if he asked them, he deserves it.

Look at how they are acting man. They aren't going less than that.
It has to be closer to 150m for him. And Alvarez isnt worth it

It's the beginning of June, we have 2,5 months to go. A lot of things can happen until then. I'm not saying it's going to happen, I'm saying everything is still possible. The rejected bid from Madrid (if it was even real) doesn't mean anything for other clubs.

Linked to this lad. He could also play for our basketball team in free time.

It's weird. Second time I read about Lyngby in short period as they are also interested in Kochen. Must be some American influence in that club.

Barca would be smart to just get a passable 9 that won't be the long term. Think Aubameyang when we were in dire straits. Run a year wirh Ferran and whoever and next year we go again. Alvarez is going to torpedo the finances when we could just get a LCB/LB/RB for the cost of 1 player

Think 50m is good enough for Oyarzabal, but I doubt Sociadad will let him go for that much. And with the World Cup going on, there is a high chance Spain does well and he remains the starter CF for them. I dont believe Ferran is taking over that spot.
Then for sure, Sociadad wont budge a bit for him.

Ya true. But I dont want, and its better for us not to drag this situation for that long.
We have 2 more crucial spots that need strengthening, LCB & RB, and knowing this board and Deco, we might drag this CF situation well till the end while not doing anything about the other two positions.

Surely not as you wouldn't want to move your best player out of position?

I can see him working very well there, but I imagine that would be a last resort plan.

I'd understand if we had a player of Olise's calibre available at RW. If Yamal plays central, who do we have to the right? Gordon?

Considering our interest in Alvarez I think Flick wants a pressing machine upfront, don't think Yamal fits that or that we should waste his energy there.

If anything I think it's more likely Gordon will be used in that role.

Neither of those should be our plan A though.

Absolute true.

Flick does not want Yamal to track back.

We needed to "mask" Lewa for last 2 years, so instead of Lewa pressing, we got Yamal and Rapinha pressing, while Lewa staying behind them and doing some light work.

We played like 4222 while pressing.

This year it changed a bit, but idea is same, we need better pressing players and thats why Flick wnated Gordon.

Same for Alvarez. Defensive beast, both players in top 5 defending wingers/attackers.

Could see him using Yamal at AM or even false nine possibly against likes of PSG when could match up their fullbacks with Gordon/Raphinha possibly.

Yamal played one game more or less at AM last season and was best player on park by a mile away to Betis.

Having his versatility is something that can be used more and can do it in game dependent on who else is picked.

If had a front four of Raph, Gordon, Yamal and Alvarez they can all play multiple positions and can be led by where Yamal is most effective if not seen to be wide for a particular game/moment.

I'm starting to think we might be in for a Summer like recent years where after all the initial hype, Gordan is our only signing (like Joan Garcia last year, Olmo the year before) and we struggle until the end to make cap space until the very end while looking for opportunities on loan to stopgap.

We will see.

Nah, next season FFP will bite us in the ass because we have to move out of Cam Nou - we'll go for a 9 and at maybe 2 signings in the backline. Hopefully we can sell one of Ara, Kounde, Balde - they bring nothing of value right now.

Yağız Sabuncuoğlu: Fenerbahçe are set to hold talks this week with Borussia Dortmund to formalise their verbal agreement regarding Serhou Guirassy. Guirassy is awaiting news that the deal has been finalised in writing.
Guirassy is also said to be set to receive a salary of around 10 million euros.

Another possible alternative for us likely gone. At this point it seems this will go through and wow, did not see this coming. Especially after they already got Muriqi. But especially because i'd expect Guirassy himself to wait for a bigger club, it is after all his last chance for a big move.

Just save the extra cash at worst and next year we go again. Number 9's do not grow on trees and everyone wants one. We in particular need a WC prime age 9. How many of them are there? 5?
