La Liga experience means very little given how poor a standard a lot of those teams are.
Yeah, but I'm sure we can find someone better and more experienced in one of those than Gerard Martin.La Liga experience means very little given how poor a standard a lot of those teams are.

This I agree with. Anyone with a semblance of skill can drop 20 goals in the Ered and then turn into absolute trash in a hard league. Same for the BundesligaWhen was the last time a player came directly from the Dutch league and did well immediately at any club?
I think they have all been varying degrees of disappointment, even the more talented ones like de Jong and de Ligt.
For attacking players, the record is probably worse. I'm not sure about this Godts kid, even though I've never seen him play, but the track record isn't great..
That's also true. But if you pair him with Eric Garcia, who is good on the floor, but terrible in the air due to natural deficiencies. You can't win CL with those two.Gerard Martin is not as bad as made out and would start for most teams in the league.
The part with Raphinha not being able to be rested is bullshit. This is just Flick not commanding the locker room properly. The issue with benching Raphinha and Yamal for rest is the idea that they wouldn't understand, and they would start to cause problems. And Flick doesn't want that on his hands as an extra problem to fix.
Don't tell me we can't rest Raphinha and Yamal vs some random La Liga side from time to time. Osasuna is one of the trickiest matches away from home in the league, as is Getafe. Guess what, we won both without any of our starting wingers.
Who has ever said Raphinha 'cant be rested'?
Literally saying he has been and come off early this season.
For example in games leading up to injury at start of season he played 45 mins, 45 mins and 62 mins in the league.
Yeah, well he has to be rested before he gets injured or is feeling tired. That's the whole point. You don't need him to accuse discomfort or get injured to rest him. You do it preemptively.
I'm not against that. But I have a problem with either Eric or Martin being first choice. We have Cubarsi in front of them and that's it. Also, Eric is much more useful at fullback and DM positions IMO.Why would Barca be pairing him with Eric Garcia?
Gerard should be back up LCB or sold if get decent offer but he has done well and improved a lot.
Literally just said that in run up to his first injury he had 3 games of.. off after 62 mins, didnt start, off at 45 mins.
He was rested in other games from start such as away to Betis where didnt come on and home to Bilbao where came on for last half hour.
On top of that a number of other games didnt play the 90 mins.
Betis, Celta, Getafe, Athletic, Sociedad and Osasuna... I'd sign a CB with La Liga experience from one of those. Should be 27-32 years old and preferably a starter. What are our options and how are the clauses looking?
Yeah, most likely because he was already feeling discomfort.
No.. stop making things up.
Constant mental gymnastics.
So Natan is basicaly the only option out of those. Jon Martin is too expensive for what he is. If Natan is obtainable for 30 million, we should sell Araujo and get him.Betis: We are linked with Natan, he is 1.88m and 25 years of age, left footed Brazilian CB, represented by non other than our beloved Andre Curry
Celta, Osasuna & Getafe don't have anyone I can think of.
Athletic: Laporte and Vivian are their best CB and both are mediocre and won't leave.
Sociedad: Jon Martin, but he is 20 and has 50M RC.
Elche has Affengruber being linked to us before. No idea how good he is.
No gymnastics. He played around 4700 minutes last season when fit. This is the number I take into account, not that he played fewer minutes this season due to struggling with injuries and discomfort often.
