So, what's the plan in attack? Yamal, Gordon and Adeyemi can click, but can also be UEL level all of them.
Raphinha is the only sure thing in attack.
We sold Ferran for 50 when every serious club will get at least 70 and a proper Ferran replacement will cost 110 mil. The funny thing we don't even scout a replacement, we want to pay those money for Alvarez with 8 goals and no striker quality.

But my point is remember when Madrid spent all Summer chasing Mbappe, failed, played Bellingham as false 9 with LaLiga journeyman Joselu in rotation. And won the CL.
So yeah, it's never so straight forward.
We will get a striker, may end up a LaLiga journeyman at worst or a plan B like Mika.

Every team that wants to win a UCL should have a Sorloth/Joselu type player. Generally, dog shit.
But get that one match where he gets subbed in around 75ish min against tired defenders and can take advantage of the Yamal, Pedri, and Rodri crosses into the box. And its all worth it.
We fucking played Araujo for exactly this shit. It means Flick knows this exact problem we have.
I dont know why people here are so adverse when I suggested Sorloth or a similar player.

Every coach would rather bring on a fresh player who fits his system for the last 15 minutes and stick with that than throw someone in, start crossing balls into the box, and pray that something comes of it.
That kid carried the club for two years now you donkey.

Yep. I don't know a better player for that role who is cheaper and also a fan favourite. Obviously, it's not going to happen, but if we're going in that direction, he's the best option.

So what's the plan even if we got someone like Luuk? Play him only in a few matches for 20 minutes where we are chasing the result and we have no idea how to break down the defence? How many games per season is that? In 99% of time in normal matches he can't do anything in Flick's system because he's slow and old. You only get an unhappy player on the bench just so you can throw him in every 10 matches for a couple of minutes. You can't even play him in easier games or Copa games from the start because he changes the who system of the team. I understand why Flick wouldn't like a player like that, I wouldn't either.
And we also have Hamza who on top of great aerial ability also isn't slow and in preseason it looked like he could be great at pressing too. You can use a player like that and when you don't need him send him back to Barca B.
This tall man plan B aspect is/was so overrated since Pep days.

First, he definitely wouldn’t be unhappy on the bench. He’d be like Szczesny.
Second, Hamza might be good in the air, but Luuk is the best.
Third, I’m saying all this because people want that type of player and would pay who knows how many millions for someone, only for him to play 15 minutes, with higher salary and bad mood on the bench.
If I’m going for that type of player, Luuk is the best overall package.
Fourth, something like that isn’t going to happen.
