You have to have a little intelligence and be of certain stock to be able to plan ahead and not live in the moment.
Sounds like you have the all that. So tell us, what could they have planned better last year? Which player was supposed to be Plan B?

While this is exactly the type of transfers we FC Barcelona should be doing. I am kinda sad that we'll most likely see Bernal leave on loan.

The Satisfaction of seeing talents like Yamal, Bernal, and Cuba develop & be the best in their spot is only second to seeing us winning UCL, and having Rodri gives us that.

So it is what it is.

What people love to do most is to say club should have planned better without offering any concrete examples, and then say that the club should pull something out of their ass because they are the experts.

If there is no striker on the market, there is not really much Deco can do. "Scouting" some guy from outside top 5 leagues to lead our attack is most certainly not the solution, like some would suggest.

The idea now is that we should have signed a striker last summer, when the general consensus at the time was that we should wait for this summer because 1. we had no money, 2. striker options were even worse than now

Bernal needs to stay and learn from Rodri then take over slowly

Frenkie is injured and we don't know when he will return. Bernal has to stay for now. He is 3rd choice after Rodri and Pedri. Gavi is also there. It's Casado who will go.

If you can get Rodri you get Rodri. Simple as. We need someone like him more than everyone realizes. Pedri-FDJ is too soft. Rodri #6, Pedri #8, Olmo #10 is the perfect balance.

FDJ, even if healthy, might not even be in Flick's plans anymore after he refused to come on against Atletico last season to save himself for the WC only to return injured again.

Hope this rumour is actually true and not just a ploy to get him better deal with Madrid.

We could even go back to 4-3-3, it would suit Pedri and Olmo too. Or switch between the system depending on the match but it would be nice to have someone who's able to play single pivot.

It never made sense, why would he go there to meet with the agent of a player we have an agreement for 2 months already. He can tell him to boycott training over the phone if they want that.

Boycotting can only be organized face to face, can't leave any evidence.

Nice to see how club had planned for Lewa exit.
Regardless of how much planning was or wasn't done, the striker market is the most difficult and expensive one. We're not the only team struggling to find a suitable #9.
Milan had to pay 75m for the bum Ramos as one example. Enrique keeps on playing with a hybrid attack with Dembele up front, because he doesn't find a striker suitable for his needs and for him it's not even a question about money, but there is simply nobody available to the point he's interested in Ferran "Tuna" Torres.
In our case, the money aspect comes additionally. The club knew this and offered Lewandowski one more season. So it wasn't even that clear that he would leave this summer.
Planning or no planning, to find an available, affordable and most importantly suitable striker for Barca is right now the most difficult thing. Alvarez is one of the few who checks out many boxes, that's why the club keeps on hoping and insisting on him.

In the end, if he'll not be available, Flick will need to improvise and try to create something similar Lucho did in Paris.

So Romero was used by the club to keep the public on a false path in order to highjack Rodri from Madrid without them knowing it. If he manages to do it, he deserves much praise.

So Deco went to Madrid to tell him to extend his vacations. Well, have to say that fits with Deco's personality, I'll give you that.

Well, yeah I think the club used Romero like this a couple of times before too, an useful idiot. I hoped it was linked to Rodri the first time a trip to Madrid was mentioned and looks like it is.

Used to keep it secret for what? One day?

Doubt it.

Nothing gained there and didnt need him to do it.

I mean, you he is great players, but does he fixes our defensive tranisition which is out biggest problem?

Also, his wage is astronomical.

romero take good money from Clubs and Players to make some post to make a player appears better and try to make him move to other club

You confuse him with Romano. Fabrizio Romano is on a payroll from agencies to keep selling their players. Romero is just a Barca journalist, fed sometimes exclusives by the club because of his big reach.
