Yup, we're no getting down to the players who are closes to the first team.
Flick safe'ing up with Cortes probably means we're NOT getting another CB.
Pesquer is a nice surprise, might as well keep him close to the first team if Balde continues the way he did last season.
Not to sure about Farinas and Goren, but if Tommy is leaving (sale or loan) than I understand.
Diarra was meh tbh, injuries set him back and he should also be loaned asap.

Lad looks to have a head on him. Was directing the seniors where to stand positionally in the friendlies.
Not sure how that will go down, but could have a break through season with the B if Josue isn't a stud and takes that position.
Flick telling Belletti to start Tunk, Goren and Pesquer is a good sign imo.

If Rodri comes Goren and Farinas won't get close to any minutes - I think we'd rather give those minutes to Tunkara and rotate Adeyami/Gordon (also depends on who we getting as 9, IF we are getting anybody at allLad looks to have a head on him. I think Flick may want to keep Farinas to replace Casado. Especially with Frenkie out long term.
He is more ready than Tommy in Flicks eyes, or maybe he just prefers his profile as he can ball carry similar to Pedri- which Gavi, Bernal and Rodri can't really do.
Or as you say, he may give the OK to release him, but I think a year in the A wouldn't be the worst not stagnate his development.
Same with Cortes unless we bring in a top CB, and Espart who will prob stick around but be behind Kounde and Eric.
Goren, Tunk, Hamza all go to the B while making first team bench when travel and rest between A and B is feasible. Hamza more than the first two as he has a last 10-15 mins profile.
All my opinion and could be totally wrong with Tank being our number 9. Ha.

Espart is a baller and he's almost as versatile as Eric - dude can play DM/CM and RB. Flick played him a couple of times last season already, he's imo closest to the first team.
But what Flick got cooking will be revealed soon enough, we might use Tunkara as 9 backup-backup this season already - why get some half-assed backup if we have one of the most interesting "wonderkids" at CAM who we might as well try as a false 9?
Hamza's minuts depend on who or IF we get a 9. If we don't, than he'll probably get some minutes here and there.
As for Farinas and Goren, both look decent - they are somewhat similar, even if Farinas (like you said) can ball carry better than Goren. But Goren thinks faster and imo is the less likely to do a bad pass or otherwise lose the ball (and with Flicks kamikaze style we can't lose the ball when we have 90% of our team attacking lol).
So both Farinas and/or Goren might get even less minutes because we play Olmo there or give Espart the minutes.
Well anyway, its a luxury problem - but one of Farins or Goren will get a chance to show what they're made of.

Club has it planned for broadcast for socios or culer premium, also being shown on local Suisse TV via bluesport
A lot of Suisse are confused about the timing since Basel's 1st team played a competitive match in the Swiss Cup just yesterday (Away match), so unlikely many of their starters will appear already
Shame because there's a young winger for Basel, Asane Sow - very impressive looking young winger

bluesport is usually by subscription but I am watching via either bluesport or club site who are streaming it via Barça Play
Swiss season has begun so Basel is already competing but as they played yesterday in the Swiss Cup, hard to believe any of key players will see time. During last Basel match I saw Lichtsteiner really had them looking very competitive and commentators suggested bench and youth players might make up most of the squad - we'll see
