Pre-season started today. Medicals are on their way.

25 on first day​


The players who underwent medicals were 10 first team players - Ter Stegen, Szczeseny, Balde, Christensen, Fermín, Casadó, Gerard Martín, Bernal, Héctor Fort and Roony, as well as 15 players from the Barça Atlètic and youth team squads: Aron Yaakobishvili, Jofre, Álvaro Cortés, Hafiz Gariba, Tommy Marqués, Orian Goren, Ebrima Tunkara, Ibrahim Diarra, Guillermo Fernández, Alex González, Shane Kluivert, Toni Fernández, Òscar Gistau, Xavi Espart and World Cup participant Hamza Abdelkarim.


First training session on Tuesday ​


After medical tests on Monday the squad will begin training on Tuesday at 9.30am CEST at the Ciutat Esportiva with Hansi Flick beginning his third season as Barça boss.

In any case, it's good to have a more relaxed pre-season, not traveling far. Last year was a torture for the players, traveling to SE Asia, playing in 35 degrees and inhumane humidity, which resulted in many injuries and bad running performances at season start. Flick was furious and this time, the club thankfully put the preparation before earning money.
 
Absolutely and I recall Flick not liking the lengthy travels despite acknowledging there was a monetary need built in for the tours
 
No shit Sherlock, every manager prefers working in peace without travelling and marketing stunts but does it because the club forces them. Good that they won't leave Europe this summer but in reality almost no one of the main players will start training anytime soon. The real preseason starts in August.
 
Must be so boring as a first teamer when all the good players (except Martin) are away with their NTs.

We'll start La liga without those too, at least the first match but could be more. This could never happen years ago but now it's becoming something normal that you miss your best players for the first round or two, fuck off FIFA/UEFA!
 
More money for them without paying the salary. Professional football club shouldn't be in FIFA or UEFA or in National federations. It's all a bunch of nonsense. You want to represent your "country" to this washed competitions for the mobs then let those countries pay your salary like in USSR.
Amateur football was a thing and I find it hilarious you have a ful time job but you are allowed to work for another half the year voluntarily.
