Alexis Olmedo leaves for Celta

FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with RC Celta for the transfer of the Catalan centre back and will reserve the right to a percentage of any future sale

Madrid would sell him for 8m and 50% of future sale. With our "luck" he'll probably leave Celta on a free in a few years like Mingueza.

Good player. Still under 20.

Let's see how he does there, but Celta are not exactly hurting for defensive prospects. The got a solid academy there and a few coming through themselves.

Should sort out a similar deal with Pedro Rodriguez too. Seems he's lost some prominence after the initial burst on the scene.

But then again, might be contract renewal related. I think I ready it wasnt going easy.

Initially I was surprised, as Diarra and Alex impressed against Birmingham, but it makes sense.

Flick choose Tunkara over Diarra, understandable tbf, he is widely considered the top prospect. Hamza is clearly the better player and higher ceiling over Gistau, Alex did well, but we clearly rate Bisiwu way higher. Though, I am.not sure why Kluivert is staying with first team.

And obviously, we can't continue the preseason with just youth kids, some cuts need to be made.

We had 14 Barca B/ Juvenil A in game against Birmingham, and that isn't counting Bisiwu and Fort.

Barca B needs a strong squad this time, hopefully all 3 will be healthy and cooking. Loans should come next season.

Concur, also as I predicted - Tunkara is going to explode in world football

Already knew Diarra had so much potential but had seen precious little of Alex Gonzalez who also impressed. Hell, we never even got to appreciate Hafiz Gariba who looks to have incredible potential as well

All makes sense and is better for them than the likes of kluivert and the cousin's who will see little minutes.

Those 3 will be key pieces for the b team

Alex will have a big season at the B.

Club are looking for loans for Fort, Guille and Shane Kroupi. Probably why they stuck around rather than go back down.

Gistau, Alex and Diarra will all be key players for the B if uninjured.

In Alex case, Flick seems he doesn't really like this type of winger and prefers game intelligence. Virgili didn't make a mark with him either. Although I prefer Alex here.

Don't see kluivert ever been more than a player similar to his brother's level.

But if he wants to leave on loan that's good. I think another season at Barca b would be good for him.

Those 3 and tunkara should do well with the B team next year.

The winner for this pre season really is goren, because we all knew tunkara was special.

Actually goren should be with the B team as well.

As per usual a very talented atletic sqaud but can they turn that talent into results will be the question.

We probably want Goren to renew.

But as a talent, he is very interesting. Very technical but a bit different to the usual LaMasia midfielder. Can hustle, dribble, create. It's a long long journey but as a mid, he reminds me more of Modric.

If Shane is anything like his brother then we would have to be very patient for him to reach any sort of level. I think the talent is there, but it won't be reached here. But a loan, or keeping a % of rights with buyback options would be smart. What we saw against Birmingham was far from what he can do.

Just say no to Israel so I would sell Goren

I don't agree that Flick isn't a fan of Alex, not all the Masia players will get a chance this season - cream rises to the top, his chance will still come

Log jam of talent in Midfield from the senior team to masia.

In 2-3 years I think we will have a massive reset and the club will have to choose who the think are worth keeping and reluctantly allow others to leave. Senior to masia.

The dumb yank pretending he has a clue about Ateltic players again due to names he sees on instagram.

Thinks Diarra is right footed.

Sensational.

Got to keep the caravan moving and churn out the new talents in Atletic every year.

Get those talents like Farinas and Tommy who have already showcased themselves out on loan or sale with rights+buyback at a higher level. Now it's been made more fashionable player and agents won't be too apprehensive about it as before.

Need to send a lot more of them out on loan and not have first team squad blocked with nothing players like Casado.

Speaking of Farinas I hope his deal still works out kinda screwed him asking him to stay, knowing full well he had no chance of making it this season.

Looks like Annecy is actually the destination Oduro has chosen. I think that's a pretty good move for him at this stage — he'll have a chance to play regularly and keep developing.
I also like the deal from Barça's side. €200k isn't a huge fee, but keeping 50% of any future sale is a very nice clause if he develops and gets a bigger move later on. Could turn out to be a smart bit of business.
