Should actually start coaching again like he used to and not pull a Roberto Martinez with the amigos 11.

Fuck off with that shit.

1st things first, this team performed incredibly way too passive and no energy in the 1st 45 min. Yes, I realize that there is the humidity and the heat of Miami but we've played in this environment before in the Copa 24 final and Messi and RDP play their club football there so it should be nothing new. During the 50-55 minutes, Scaloni should have made some subs and killed the game off when CV was gaining momentum. Worst game that I have ever seen of Enzo and MacA in the national team shirt. I don't like this idea of MacA as a 5 and Enzo roaming forward, needs to be the reverse. Molina had some bad games over the past years so I wasn't surprised of him. Don't get me started on Lautaro and Almada.

2nd, for whatever reason, it's in the team's DNA to suffer in ways that results in disbelief.
- Colombia, CA 2021 Semi
- Australia, WC 2022 Round of 16
- Netherlands, WC 2022 QF
- France, WC 2022 Final
- Ecuador, WC 2024 QF
- CV, WC 2026 Round of 32

Good news is that the team knows how to come back from the suffering and we prevailed every single time.

3rd, positive is that things can get better. The intensity that we put in in the last 20 minutes showed me the Scaloneta that we grew and loved. That's the football that we want to watch and I know the team has it, let's put more emphasis on it.

This team needed a Saudi Arabia moment and the game yesterday was that. The team needed to wake up, get the heartbeat running, get the alertness back on.

One more thing about Almada, we always knew that Almada and Messi cannot co-exist (Similar situation as that of Coutinho and Messi)

Players like Almada and Coutinho need to be the main 10 of the team to get the best out of them. I'd rather play Lo Celso or Barco in that position instead.

But most likely it will be almost same XI no? Seems Scaloni has a lot (too much) trust in his favourites in midfield.

The most realistic change that I see are Tagliafico for Medina and Montiel for Molina. Other than that, I don't forsee Scaloni making changes. We'll see.

Looked like they were about to concede every time they went ahead and CV had to attack. Which is pretty much what happened. Defense was all over the place, not a clue what even happened. Lucky to escape shootouts as they looked like conceding any moment there at the end.

Four years ago he won the World Cup by putting his faith in players with pretty much no experience. it's time to do the same because otherwise this team won't go very far.

Scaloni made selection errors. He made errors in how the friendlies and last WCQs were used.

A terrible performance last night for many reasons. Players off form and some carrying niggles.

I'd go with a 3-5-2 which offers tactical possibilities, width and a high press line (Paz. Julian, Barco, Simeone, RDP when and where required) and rests some of the dead men from last night.

Scaloni and his team need to look at themselves and also several players need a kick up the backside. The likes of Alexis need to be reminded they don't have divine right to be in this side. If their poor form at club level persists then it's bye bye. Perrone should have been here anyway as the sitting 5 and Equi if he can string his games together are better options.

It's a shame Scaloni is scared of youth. I would also have brought Beltran as the third keeper and Aranda the Boca wunderkind. Unlike Almada who seems to have forgotten how to dribble.

He was experimenting with a 3-5-2 but seem to have completely ditched the idea. Maybe time to bring it back again since you need guys like Paz, Simeone, Barco, etc. to provide some creativity and energy in the team.

Guys like Mac Allister has looked semi retired the entire season and Almada has one good match in 10.

Probable XI vs Egypt

I don't see the need to play 4 midfielders, but as long as MacA is the one left side and carrying the ball (not the deep lying playmaking that he has done recently) then I can maybe live with this.

I hope Scaloni knows what he is doing.
