Gordon, a good signing?

Gordon - Yamal - Raph could be fun as well. I think it would be a bit of a waste of Yamal, but he's definitely suited best to play in the center from our current attacking options bar Ferran.

Yamal would be butchered if he plays consistently in the C. I would prefer to keep him as RW.

Gala XI will have Lamine at RW, Rapha at LW (and moving a lot to center), and either Gordon/Torres/new signing. Adeyemi will be the next man from the bench.

We might be also heading to Hamza being the 6th man in attack, although I think this is the worst scenario for him.

Yamal is nowhere near ready to play in the middle of the park. At this moment, he's best suited on the wings.

And we should let him be there and let him grow.
He has still years left in him, he can/will try different positons late. But its not the time to try.

Agree, that's why Is aid it's a bit of a waste, but he would still be miles better than Raph or Gordon there. Then again he's also miles better than them on the wing

Why do you think that? I think te opposite, all of them are more suited than Yamal.
He can actually play the false part of false 9. Gordon, Raph and Fermin could do the 9 part for him (running behind, battling CBs). He also turns much better than them. Raph for example sucks with his back to goal. Gordon no idea… admittedly I havent seen enough of him. But same feeling as Raph for me.

Yamal would 100% be by the best '9' at Barca if played there and they would play him more as a false nine as Dembele does.

Would be one of best players in world doing it but that needs to be an option in games to get best out of him and team not a set up from start.

Barca need to be more fluid than that and get more from the versatility of Yamal in game.. primarily from wider with freedom to get more central.

False 9 is basically a 10 anyway. The only position where it makes sense for Yamal to play in the middle is as a number 10 in a 4231 or 442, where he’ll always have someone ahead of him to pass the ball to.

Yamal would be the best in any offensive position because of his quality but it would be a huge waste of his qualities. And also, you think Yamal would be good with his back to goal? There are at least 5 players more suited to play in 9 and Flick knows that, he won't put him there anytime soon. If anything we could experiment him playing as a 10 in some matches but for now he's best position by far is RW.

I think Adeyemi is the best 9 we have if faggot leaves and we don't buy anybody. He also has the most experience playing there.

Gordon plays in EPL and Diomande plays in Bundesliga. Again why sometimes you have to take context behind stats
One is 19. One is 25.

Maybe Diomande is the more talented player but at the moment I feel Gordon is more dangerous for any team and harder to contain
Don't see how. Diomande has the highest successful takeons percentage in Europe last season and is a nightmare to defend against when he starts dribbling.

PL teams contain Gordon very very easily.

Rahul pining again I see.

Diomande should be better for the additional 40m odd really.

We were being told for months he was Liverpool bound..

I'm not surprised, and didn't need this to know Diomande is more dangerous. I watched both in a lot of games, the World Cup, and it's clear. Watched Leipzig against Bayern twice and Dortmund (specifically going for their tough games), and can't dispute Diomande's danger as you see oponents double mark him a lot, from Bayern, to Dortmund and what have you

If Madrid bought Gordon, I'll have less to worry about than Diomande. Anyways, we'll see how he fares here.

Well I wanted Diomande before Gordon, but it is what it is.

In the end it will be 140mil transfer which is not small amount

I think they see Gordon as alternative in all positions in attack plus he was Flicks desired player.
