9 - ???

We need a striker tbh. It doesn’t make sense to have that midfield and Yamal creating all those chances just to not have a striker to finish them. It would be such a waste.
 
Hamza is having that Gonzalo Garcia pre-season.

I reckon he would score alot in LaLiga but wouldn't rely on him for the big games and Champions League.

Great signing though and the right mentality. You genuinely don't know how far he can go.
 
The thing that gives me hope about Hamza is his mobility, workrate and the way he attacks space. Very different to Garcia, who looked quite static. Also makes him appear much grittier.

If he can keep up with the teams intensity and continue to be where he needs to be in the box he will already be a good solution to our striker problem.
 
A decisive weakness for Hamza is how he turns around, it is slow and not forceful enough,he also fails to protect the ball with his body while doing it.

It makes it hard to make an attempt on goal if he receives the ball in good position but woth his back to the goal, it also force him to rush this back heel passes.

If he can somehow improves in that regard, it will take him to a different level, because it is one of his biggest limitations atm.
 
Yeah, there's a lot to work on. I don't think anyone realistically expected him to be in this position so quickly, but good on him.

The question now is what is best for him and the team, stick with the first team for training and scrap minutes or go down to the second for full minutes.

He seems to have the right attitude for either, or best a mix of both.

One thing that impressed me the most is that he looked better when surrounded with better players, rather than looking out of place.

He was standout for the U17 in Egypt, but crap when he played with Ahly reserve team in League Cup, and was even a meme back then as fans wondered what is Barca seeing in him. He looked decent but limited with Juvenil A, and fairly average with the NT (good team and players, but not elite) but is having his best impression when surrounded by Barca players in preseason.

One month ago, I was 100% convinced that he should stay with Barca B, now I wonder if staying with first team is the best for his development.

Heck of a year for him, he accumulated experience that some decent footballers don't have until they are mid 20's.

With all of that said, La liga and CL are different challenge than friendlies against Ahly, Basel , Birmingham etc

You rise with the occasion. When colleagues are crap, you'll look crap too because service is bad and as 9 you rely on that.

Barça A-Team is premium service, but we'll have to wait a bit as preseason doesn't say much. Basel for instance had a Copay game the day before the game against Barça.

Early signs are good, but we'll have to wait how he operates on serious competition.
 
Has any of you lot seen that Tresoldi cat in action regularly? I must admit I'm not overly impressed going by youtube vids. He doesn't seem very fast but his game with his back to the goal looks great though and he seems to have an eye for the assist as well.

But hey at least he doesn't seem to be a mega donkey like Gyök...
 
Get Guirassi for practically free and move on(till next summer). Hamza will also get a chance to grow. Spend the rest of the money on a LCB and a L/RB.

Why no EPL mids taking a punt on Guirrasey at the mooted price.

Do they all know he is 40 years old?
