9 - Robert Lewandowski

Hope he takes it. Not just to get rid of him but I think this would be a good move for him, old strikers do well in Italy as we seen many times in the past, I think he could be a top goalscorer there for another 2 seasons if he stays healthy. The big question is if he wants to move his family again just for those 2 seasons, that's not ideal and could understand him if he rather takes Barca's offer (which shouldn't exist anyway) and the kids don't have to move again.

Another very important goal this season.
Think this is his 3rd or 4th of those.

I'm surprised he only has 1 or 2 less goals than Torres this season given how little he's played this season relatively speaking.

A real team effort this season

Something happened between Yamal and Lewandowski, something that's causing Lamine's hostility.
As a result, Robert is ignored on the pitch.

You can guess what's going on. An ego inflated to enormous proportions at just 18? Perhaps he thinks that Lewandowski, by scoring so many goals, steals his shine and diminishes Lamine's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, even if Robert himself isn't a contender.

Either way, it's devastating for the team and bodes very poorly for the future.

I'm not superstitious, but it's incredible that Yamal's injury occurred while taking a penalty, which... Lewandowski always took before they were taken away from him in the hierarchy...

I've been a Barcelona fan for many years, and I'm also a Robert fan, which didn't bother him in the past, before their paths crossed. After Robert joined Barcelona, everything became even easier.

I really don't like this situation. I hope it doesn't end up in a situation where the player thinks he's bigger than the club and everyone lets him.
That usually ends badly.

Not that much difference

Ferran - 20 goals in 2.500 minutes (a goal every 125 minutes)
Lewa - 18 goals in 2.200 minutes (a goal every 122 minutes)

Yea I saw this after I made that post. It just seem like way less. Guess it's because lewa use to be a regular starter.

Where is temp to give this a million likes lol.

I'm sure on a personal level he'll want to get at least 20 this season.

Ferran having better stats in last two seasons when been at CF regularly vs those first three seasons for Lewa puts into context how impressive those stats are really.

Laugh emoji below if a dumb yank. Thats an order.

Thank you for everything !

Still think he should be here next season, just one more.
He scored important goal this season and 18 goals and 9 assists is not bad for a player who came from the bench since the beginning of the year and with his injuries.

But he should have a big paycut and be motivate. That’s the big question.

Remembered what Ibra said in a podcast:

To paraphrase: [A striker failing to execute a clear assist is an act of unacceptable egoism that actively hurts the team. He famously joked that his reaction wouldn't be tactical advice, but rather physically confronting the player in the dressing room.]
