9 - Gabriel Jesus

I mean unless he is really shit we should be able to sell for more than 10m definitely

I don't doubt he'll play good enough when given a chance. I only worry about his availability. Hopefully playing in a less physical league will help with his injury problems though Flick's system itself is very demanding for the players.

Normally he should only play 10-20 minutes per game when Rapha is coming off and maybe start every 10th game. If Rapha gets injured then the workload will increase a lot.

Just said he didn't talk to Flick and Flick said he was surprised. So there's that. Deco's signing.

The media reported it a little differently, making it seem like he had no idea, which I doubt. Maybe his words can be interpreted a little differently, that he was surprised that it happened.

I wont touch this transfer… I will just wait until the season is over to form an opinion. He could be decent if hes over his injuries. Or a total bust.

If he is available, he will have to play significantly more minutes than people expect.

He is not an emergency backup. He is the only natural striker in the rotation, and he is backing up a player (Raphinha) who we absolutely need to keep fit at all costs as he is the only prolific scorer in attack.

He will start in the league often if he is available and also come off the bench too.

This slot was needed to be filled by someone reliable. If he is not ready this will be very problematic.

May as well rename the thread Pipe Dream because that's what it is expecting him to be available enough to make even a small impact here.

How many footballers can you name me that have been perennially injured THEIR WHOLE CAREER'S and then suddenly stop getting injured at TWENTY NINE YEARS OF AGE.

We've dance this dance a few years ago with Christensen.

Even in ACs thread now I still see people saying the line ' IF HE CAN STAY FIT ' and my eyeballs are ready to fucking burst. :woot:

I love optimism, but delusion is something else.

Both Christensen and Jesus will be unavailable for at least 50 percent of the games this season.

And you can probably add Frankie to that list for the foreseeable future as well.
