Was outpaced and couldn't perform under pressure of AM players. He was subbed most likely because the pace of the game was too high for him to cope. There's a reason Olmo and Pedri rarely play for Spain at the same time in the middle of the park. Both are slow players who struggle with intensity.
 
Well that's fucking nice. If Pedri is also out for second leg then this is well and truly over. A half fit Frenkie and Eric or a half fit Bernal or a half fit Gavi next to him will not give us midfield control.

It was obvious something was off with him. It probably is an injury but let's hope for the best. He was unusually bad and I was really wondering what could be wrong
 
Well there goes any slim chance of a remontada in the 2nd leg - no Pedri or Raph. Wrap up LL and go again next season I guess.
 
You know why every player gets injured this time of year every time? It's because they play every 3 or 4 days for months on end.

Every single UCL we are missing half the difference makers and then we find a way to get knocked out.

Raphinha sold his hamstring in a friendly game. Who does that?

Pedri/Bernal play every game because De Jong has been injured. This is why squad depth is important.

Gavi is back but what is Gavi going to do playing next to Casado next week?
 
We don’t have money for squad depth. To be fair, a lot of clubs are dealing with injuries right now. ATM and PSG are the only two I can think of with most of their players ok.
 
Very disappointed in him personally. He shines and orchestrates the game superbly in low pace games. But when the opponent amps up the pressure and the intensity in the middle of the park, he doesn't respond and as a result his efficiency wanes away.

Old curse of slow feet and lack of athleticism that affects a large part of Spanish midfielders.
 
He hasnt been great since back really.

With Bernal he has to play so deep as Bernal cant progress ball to him in way Frenkie can and not having same impact.

With Garcia it inst the same either.

The way he barely even challenged Lookman for the ball in lead up to the red was a farce.

The alternatives are huge drop.

Shite like Casado should be nowhere near Barca.

Such a huge drop we are 7 points ahead
Destroyed Newcastle and only lost in the CL due to a red card.

Huge drop the team has been suffering so much in his absence 😂
 
Indeed suffered yesterday.

Suffered massively last season before fit.

Suffered in Xavi last season.

Suffered in 22/23 and win a double if doesnt get injured v Real.

'Only beat Atleti reserves' due to red past weekend.

Same folk who moan about Chelsea game now say 'red card' to blame at home to Atleti.
