I refrained from insulting him in the thread title.

This fraud apparently played against atletico today. Did you guys saw him ?
 
Wanted him to come on earlier as Rashy was gassed and frustrating with finishing.

With Raphi out our goalscoring options are significantly diminished.
 
Needs to be studied for sports psychology. I’m not sure how you can have such a sudden drop in form. He’s a Barca player and I will support him, but it wasn’t that long ago that he made RM defense look like absolute fools in the CDR final….

Now he has a hard time scoring tap ins or even getting in scoring positions

Eh? Courtois and Rudiger gifted that goal to him mate. People hype clowns like him and Rashford and then act all surprised when reality hits.
 
This bum has to be kicked TF out of the club for good. Came on with his greasy hair last night and did absolutely nothing. Even derailed a solid counter attacking situation Olmo worked so hard to create
 
He is just not good enough for the level we expect from our 9.Thank you for trying and goodbye. Impossible to give him another year when he has had his chances to bounce back after awful luck in finishing but even when not scoring he hasn't been too useful without or with the ball.
 
So who is his replacement? Let's say we manage to sell him for 50m euro, which elite player do we buy for 50-80m euro? He performs consistently and scores significantly more than Torres. So 20-30 goals per season.

Suggestions?

A reject like Trashford got decent numbers here. If you're only interested about meaningless numbers I can assure you can find someone for 50M.
It's not even about that someone being elite.

Ferran has scored 16 so far, so let's extrapolate and assume he scores 20 goals this season. The replacement must outperform Ferran, otherwise what's the point?

So sell Ferran and bring in Rashford permanently... hoping for 25-30 goals per season. That's the solution?

Sorloth was 30M and has similar numbers. What's with all the accounting? You can get lots of players for less than 50M to replicate Ferran's numbers with our setup.
The replacement could very well outperform Ferran, if you buy smart for 55-60M(his transfer fee).
Problem is no idiot is paying 50M for Ferran and we'll probably keep him just to not complicate ourselves with going in the market.

I am not insinuating that bargains cannot be found. I'm just interested in who replaces Ferran if you were our SD? And by replaces, I mean someone who also outscores Ferran.

Sorloth and Rashford. Anyone else?

*Ironically Sorloth has only scored one more goal than Ferran this season.

Bargains? Get Muriqi, Budimir or Borja Iglesias and they'll score the same. You make it sound like we need to do some insane scouting to replace a guy like Ferran.

Get Oyarzabal and he'll score more and is a far better player than Ferran. Probably will cost in the region of what Ferran left City for though.

Okay - I am not insinuating that Ferran cannot be replaced but rather that whomever replaces him needs to outperform him. Otherwise what's the point? Ferran is one hell of a player, albeit inconsistent. This criticism of him is fair.

Oyarzabal would score double in our setup.

Not that long ago, his nickname on here was the Shark. El tiburón. When he goes through one of his hot spells, he's more than capable of capitalizing on his chances. He does so very well, hence the nickname. And that's exactly why he has 16 goals so far. His problem is lack of consistency.
