Don’t think clubs rate him substantially higher.
 
It will be same kind of bid as Chelsea with Fermin last season trying to take a relatively cheap punt as think Barca need the money.
 
Its wild that the club are looking to offer him a new contract according to the media.

Did they not learn from Fati?

At least let him try to show some kind of level.
 
Don't think club would even consider selling him.

But this season will define his future, if he doesn't show that he can be counted on, he can start looking at other clubs.
 
They wont push him out but it seems very hard from here for him ever to be a starter when all fit.

Media are going with Rodri/Bernal.. that leaves Gavi to be back up to Pedri if Frenkie leaves.

He is not good enough on ball to play further forward in Flicks set up and this trying to force a role for him at AM/LW needs to stop.

His current contract isn’t up until 2030. Seems odd.

Unless they try to push him to lower his wages.
 
Unpopular opinion, but I'd probably take 35m +10 in achievable variables.

As time goes on it's becoming more apparent that he is not going to be the elite player we thought and more than likely will have a career similar to that of Sergi Roberto.

Just can't see a scenario where Gavi will be a regular first team player here.
 
I would take it too but the club won't. He will leave in a couple of years on his own when he realizes he will never become a starter here. His ego is too big to stay a permanent bench player. He will end up in Betis or something like that.

I feel the opposite. I think he is happy to have the prestige of being a Barca first team player and the fame that comes with that.

I would set his price at 50m and be happy to take that from United. I think his physical conditions set a firm ceiling on how much he can realistically improve even if his decision making and game intelligence got better.

For now. He probably still thinks he can become a starter at some point. When a couple of years on the bench happen he could leave. Hope he becomes a reliable backup for Pedri but can't see it at this point, one of the La Masia kids will overtake him, maybe they already did.
 
Should at least stay until January... he ahs a good chance to get minutes with Frenkie out. If Espart (or someone else) overtakes him that's the last straw I guess.
