4 - Ronald Araújo

Not a good look for Uruguay anyway, no competitive minutes even against an opponent yet muscular injuries?

"Medical Report – Ronald Araújo
To help resolve a muscle issue, the player will receive medical treatment from professionals who have treated him previously. The coaching staff and the medical team of the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) agreed with this decision.
He will not participate in the team's group activities on Monday. He is expected to rejoin the team on Tuesday, June 9, and will travel with the squad that evening to the 2026 FIFA World Cup."

Not yet out for the WC.

He would be perfect for Juve, Milan, Napoli…I’m convinced he would be among the best CB-s in the league
It surprised me Juve aren’t pushing that transfer, considering they offered €35 million for Todibo, and Araujo is probably an even better player.

Juve wanted him, but we rejected the offer.

I doubt they would come in for him again, because he has regressed as well as being off-form.

He'd be perfect for Serie A. Could see him become one the best defenders in their league actually. Either Inter or Juve (even though I suspect Juve would be closer to his level and he'd definitely start for them alongside Bremer and probably Kalulu) I could see him fit in at Inter just as well, even if he would be one of their worse defenders, but with Acerbi gone and De Vrij being 34, I think he could replace the Dutch man and form that back 3 with Bastoni and Akanji (don't know how they rate Bisseck but I imagine he'd be fighting with him and probably winning for that starting spot). At Inter, with better players around him, so he wouldn't have to lead (like at Juve) he could actually thrive, and there's also Inter's defensive mindset (often times also playing plain dirty and certainly dirtier than Juve), I feel Inter would actually suit him perfectly.

Shame that all this talk literally doesn't matter, as he's a cuck who will rather stay and collect that huge wage for a few more years. If only we sold him to Juve last year...50 freaking million. We just had to be greedy and ask for 70M. Can't imagine getting us even half of that now, if he's ever gonna leave at all before his contract is up.

His contract will be a ter Stegen-esque burden for us.

Is either injured or shit when he plays and don't want to leave.

Probably even worse than that

For Araujo who is outfield player there is a concrete possibility he starts the most important games of our season if injury crisis hit. Now especially considering we are thin at CB positions and there is not many backups

It happened this season. He played in CL round of 16. It was Newcastle so eventually didn't cost us anything. But it could have also been PSG

Stegs was a keeper and they are not injured as often so when we signed a new keeper he was at least not a burden on the field anymore

Araujo will likely be a burden for several more years. On and off the pitch

One of the faults of this board is that we weren't ruthless enough with the bums we inherited from Bartomeu's era.
