3 - Alejandro Balde

Little bro is kicking himself he didn't leave during the summer.

He's getting the fati treatment by flick, no way he's that bad in training like fati showed in France

The Coach has just turned his mind from him, only way he's prove himself now is if someone picks up an injury.

Hopefully that doesn't happen

Must have really sucked in training this summer for Flick to basically have lost hope. Sounded like a disappointed father in one of the press conferences where he spoke about him.

It's not like his replacements are worse. Espart started great and Cancelo showed last season that he offers more than Balde. It's up to Balde to prove himself, he's is not benched without a reason.

Thought he would get a few minutes. Not yet then..

Still think he will get a proper chance sooner or later.

Cancelo is not the kind of player I expect to be elite all season. He will hit bad form. Maybe Espart will too.

There will be injuries no doubt. Balde will get his chance. Just has to be ready and work on his game until then. All we are asking from him is improvement in some minor details.

There are also some major issues that damage his game but if he can fix the little ones he would already be twice the player.

He will get his chance for sure. However he needs to show a desire and he really needs to start working his ass off.

Suspect it's mostly about training as Flick talks about it all the time. If it was only about performances he would play more, as Kounde still does.

For sure. Flick already said that he is watching him every single day ad that he doesn't look focused. If he wants to play he has to show a desire in training sessions and than he'll get his chance.

The emergence of Xavi on top of Cancelo's prioritization under Hansi already is a mountain to climb in the depth chart for a player who has habitually been accused of lacking sufficient focus/drive to deliver much less be a consistent performer at this level

Doesn't look good for him, he would have to truly transform to be a factor again at Barça

Training was never the most important thing, he's simply not good enough for how we play now under Flick - with the high line, one mistake in the build up and we're fucked and Balde can only run to where his nose points until he runs into another player and loses the ball.
His passing, vision, technique, footballing IQ, creativity are all way below what we need and there is honestly no more hope he can fix those things because he lacks the talent.
But he could do alright in an average team like United, so best for all would be to part ways...

He has till Jan to prove.

I am sure that come Jan, ManYoo comes knocking at our doors again. This time they will be desperate.
If by then Balde doesnt cement himself, I think he would want to leave too.

For his own good he should accept an alright offer this winter, Flick would probably even play Garcia on LB before he gives Balde any minutes there.

I'd play one of Espart/Cancelo on the right instead. Eric is great defensively but he is more of a third CB than a full-back.

Would leave room for Balde to get his chances also.
