3 - Alejandro Balde

We have 8 defenders which is optimal. His position is the thickest at the moment but one injury or a suspension and he's back in.

Espart, Cancelo, Balde, Cubarsi, Gerard, Christensen Eric, Kounde competing for 4 positions.

Unless we sign a CB we can't let him go imo.
 
Flick so far using inverted left back who forms an added midfielder in possession. Only Espart and Cancelo can play that role.

Working great so far but against pish opponents without top right wingers.

Sense Flick would prefer a defensive LB as an alternative. Gerard Martin probably if a LCB is signed.

Balde will get chances if he stays past the window closing but should probably look to leave on loan and play. With Kounde continuing to play poorly, I wonder if his shot may come at RB where he can concentrate more defensively.
 
I don't think this was a good decision by him but I'm not surprised, not really a genius probably. He could have played as a starter at a decent level but now it looks like he'll have to wait for Copa games to play anything if Cancelo/Xavi don't get injuries. He could be gone in winter if something doesn't change drastically in the meantime.
