3 - Alejandro Balde

If we retain Cancelo it would be much better. Everyone on this forum and who has eyes says, Balde is good, but the lack of competition at the LB position has made him a lethargic starter. We just needed a player like Cancelo.

Now we wait and see if he steps up. There is a world class player somewhere, and if having Cancelo as a competition doesnt bring that out, then we should sell him in 2027.

I think he has more in him, that I am certain of - its more a question of whether he will push himself to get to that level that I am less certain of

I always think of the infamous 'Practice' quote from Allen Iverson where was vilified, you have to deliver in training and it shows up on the pitch - Quote became viral on laziness but was actually about value of practice to games. All teammates of Leo and MJ say the same thing, they were beasts in practice/training. You have train hard to play hard and maybe Alejandro lacks the same drive despite having the talent - he would hardly be the 1st case

Alright Balde when Cancelo is about 3x better than you your time is up bro. Time to pack your bags and get out. You are dogshit.

This guy every single game is useless how can Barca even think about keeping a guy who cannot be a Barca Wingback?

Jordi Alba types are needed. Cancelo can play winger basically so he checks the box. Balde plays like he never learned how to do anything across the halfway line. He runs up to that winger spot in the final third and just does nothing. Get out. Kounde as well. We need offensive first wing backs. Defense is a bonus.
 
I don’t rate him much. He is miles away from Cancelo who come from saudi. That say everything. Don‘t mind seeing him gone. Still can’t give good cross.
 
He wasnt massively rated at Barca just before he broke through.

Largely due to exact reasons we see now.. limited on ball unless opens up to carry it and poor final ball. While also not an aggressive defender 1v1 preferring a foot race.

Always had that pace but it wasnt seen as enough to carry over to first team with other areas of weakness.

To point almost signed for Ajax..

It turns out his pace and probably the more open games did translate to step up but the other weaknesses remained.

To date he hasnt improved on them and to me looks like he carries and air of arrogance not warranted.

Reports this season would suggest club have same feeling. He isnt developing as a player and hasnt been working hard enough to try.

Cant see him being sold and maybe this is their final wake up call to him to realise in last chance saloon.
 
Probably one of the most limited players in the world.

So one sided, I know his every next step.

Sell to PL while it is not to late.
 
Sell him and Kounde.

Sign Cancelo if available for cheap. Sign Palestra who can play both RB and LB.

We have known this about Araujo for a while. But these have proven themselves as shit lately.

Honestly, I've never rated Balde and always thought he was shit - but since so many rated him I thought he might have potential I can't see... which he doesn't :lol: Dude is the most one-footed player in the history of football - but he sucks with his left also, he can't make a cross to save his life :lol: Dude is no-footed :lol: He can only cut in and lose the ball or kick it forward and lose the ball and he can't defend for shit :lol:
 
The amount that I do not like this player is substantial. But LB do not grow on trees. Having him as a pretty strong role player is not a bad thing.

I simply think we could do much better both sporting wise and economically if we replace him... I mean if we truly could get upwards of 30-40 million for him, which I'm starting to highly doubt though.

Somehow we sell for 25% of their transfer worth but I think that is because we pay every player insane salaries and nobody can cover these.
