29 - Hamza Abdelkarim

So, you're still hoping we sign Alvarez? It's past that point man, this ego clash brought both parties to a worse position than when it started, it became so tangled up there is no resolve now.

I think you're selling Torres a bit short. He can be upgraded but it's not a sure thing just like that.

I am inclined to doubt any strikers we produce, because we never produce any good CFs, we have had too many flashes in the pan...

But I like him. He's athletic, tall, high workrate, and has good movement. His technique is passable enough to improve later.

The only thing that worries me is the big step up, since he is coming from Juvenil, and we usually only do that with the biggest talents. However, I think he is good enough to absorb some of the minutes at CF and score a few goals.

He is one for the future still, but he has first team potential.

We didn't even produce him. that's why he's not bad.
Only strikers we produce are short strikers who's only great traits are finishing like munir and fati.

If he was actually from la masia, he would've been moved to CB because he actually has the other traits of a great striker- tall and strong.

Munir good at finishing? I still hate him for missing the fifth goal against Madrid that day.

Hadn't watched him before Basel, but I don't get the tall and strong description. Or do we mean tall and strong per Barca standards? lol He's 6 ft, (same as Cubarsi) which should be the bare minimum for a CF these days. Bisiwu, when he came on, looked relatively bigger with more presence upfront. My sample size is limited so I might change my opinion going forward. The good news is both are still 18, so still have some time to develop on the physical end.

Though not too tall, he’s excellent in the air. He’d been with the team for a few months before scoring his first goal with his feet.

La Masia is really lacking in terms of building up the physical attributes of these guys. Most high school gymbros these days look more muscular than our graduates.

Uses his height, body and strength well. That's half the battle.

Olise for example is skinny AF but strong on field with those fast twitch fibers and activating his muscles perfectly in duels.

Kid may still grow over the next 12-18 months.

He isn't tall but he doesn't lack height at all either, the 1.82 m remains to be confirmed when the club put an official measure, for those kids it isn't always accurate.

But he is actually very strong, and more so considering his age. Bisiwu maybe talker but surely not bigger.

Also, Hamza comes from a family of volleyball players and it shows, his jumping ability and use of height is top tier. As they say in Basketball, he plays bigger than his size.

He looks 6 2 at least, not 6. However, he is strong physically, decent mobility and very good in the air. Nowhere near the finished product but in another 2 years I reckon he will be our starting 9 or getting alot of minutes.

Where are those who say Deco's scouting is shit?

Not yet but in 2-3 years I think they will eat their words. Several of these young talents he and Amaral signed could turn out to be elite players very soon

Hamza absolutely one of them. If he doesn't make it as starter in Barça then we will sell him for good money

Stop being a child. Season hasn't even started.

I am excited for the kid but praising Deco because kid scores in friendlies and praising it already as great signing is childish.

I said in 2-3 years, not now. You still have the right to call Deco's scouting shit. It is not based on any facts, but if you believe that he doesn't sign top talents you have the right to say that. Time will tell if the talents he signed are good.

But I think if you look at it from an objective view, likes of Hamza or Bisiwu have very realistic chances of making it as top players in near future.

I am praising Deco and Amaral for signing a player I believe is very, very talented. And in a situation where no other top club was even aware of his situation, they saw his talent.
