On several levels, I don’t understand this.
Why would we bring in a goalkeeper now and send him out on loan?
Why are we bringing in a goalkeeper when we have ter Stegen on 90% of his salary?
Why are we bringing in a goalkeeper who isn’t the best with his feet?
Why are we bringing in a goalkeeper who isn’t the best at dealing with crosses?
Why would we bring in a goalkeeper when we already have three goalkeepers out on loan?
I know his agent is close to Laporta and Deco, but…
Tek is already done. The fuck would we sign a future backup this window if he isn't some wonderkid? He is Tek replacement, backup GK
MATS is done with the club.
Szczęsny is 36 years old, which for a GK means perfect mature. The problem with Szczęsny is his current demeanor. He sees his career as already fulfilled and his role here as its nice, incidental extension. He is perfectly happy to be a sub (from his numerous interviews and he is outspoken) which kills competitiveness for #1 position.Great business. I always liked Livakovic as a keeper. Some of his performances with Croatia have been absolutely insane.
Would be better if we had him as a backup this season because Tek is very old now but it is what it is.
4 keepers paid but only one available. Sound logic by everyone at the club.We are paying 4 keepers good to excessive wages lol.

He'll be 32 when he joins, but that's not my point. Usually you get a guy and loan him out if he is some future prospect that you don't want to miss out on. But Livakovic? He's been a mediocre GK all his career, what's the rush? It would have made sense to get him now since Tek is cooked. How is a 31 year old at the end of his career?![]()
How can that make sense with FFP?This deal mostly indicated to me that next season we will have a very narrow FFP margin to work with.
Hence, they are completing a backup GK, as it will be a must next season.
Wont have to spend 3m next year. How can that make sense with FFP?
A GK, in order to improve, as anybody else, must feel the breath of a competitor. The goal here is probably to make Joan as comfortable as possible to keep him improving. They have same agent so surely he is approved by Joan.
Wasn't competition the hole mantra behind the hate Stegen received? Now we're pampering the greatest Spanish GK ever? The goal here is probably to make Joan as comfortable as possible to keep him improving. They have same agent so surely he is approved by Joan.

So next year, if we get rid of Christensen, Araujo, Ter Stegen and Tek, we'll be able to bring in several more signings?Wont have to spend 3m next year.
And correct me if I am wrong, since he'll be a Barca player who was on loan, his wage will come under the previous year's wage cap.
I mean, when Tek leaves, his wage can be fully allocated to Liva and not adhere to 1:3, since its not a new registration. Or something like that.
We will be working under 1:3.So next year, if we get rid of Christensen, Araujo, Ter Stegen and Tek, we'll be able to bring in several more signings?
Explain to me please how you came to the conclusion that we’ll be at 1:3. I want to know.We will be working under 1:3.
So if we make 10m of FFP space, we will only be able to use 3m out of it.
Dont think Terrorist & Christensen are going to be sold. But we will see.
Most likely Araujo will be sold. And Tek leaves.
And it wont be several more signings. At most it will be 1-2 cheap ones.
