23 - Jules Koundé

Follow up from previous post.
Use the Kounde funds to get a LCB

LB- Balde/Salinas/Xavi
RB - Cancelo/Xavi/Eric
RCB - Cuba/Eric/Christi
LCB - LCB/Martin/Christi

I would be quite happy with the following lineup for the rest of the season. While not stellar, I can see us playing the Semi of CL and doing well.
Cancelo plays LB for us.

Deal with it.

Not many teams will fall for it I am afraid.
Epl teams will. When loaning Araujo to liverpool some fans thought they were getting prime sergio ramos. They are that oblivious.

Kounde starts for france NT ahead of some epl players so thats another advantage

Nobody is going to pay too much for a defensive RB. If they think he has potential as CB then maybe, but doubt anyone believes that for a 28 year old who doesn't play CB for either club or country.

We gave him a way to high wage imo, he's one of the best paid at the club. I still like him though, I'm probably one of his very few fans at the club  But yeah, depending on our FFP etc we should definitively offload him next summer - we'll probably not get very much for him because whoever buys him will have to cover his wage though. But it would be alright if we got at least 20m and his wage of our books...

Soon he will lose even the last fans who support him and will join Umtiti and Ter Stegen.

I actually don't think so...
Like I said, we pay to much for his services - but he's almost never injured, he plays well with Yamal, he offers a lot in attack etc.
We also haven't tried him on CB in a while, he could definitively take some of Cuba's minutes against scrubs in LL at the Camp Nou - I mean his passing is more than alright, his footballing IQ is good, his technique is alright etc etc. He just have lapses in concentration sometimes, Flick needs to iron that out.
Anyway, even if we can't sell him - if he continues like he has, if he can help out on CB and if he can stay healthy... he'll never come close to Umtiti or Terrorist.

I mean trying to offload him with no success, and someone who fucks up constantly. To that end.
Don't know if we've tried to offload him and he doesn't really fuck up constantly... but he does bring some things to the table that Garcia can't.
Look, I agree he has some brainfarts every now and than - but overall he makes up for them.
He's not ideal, I would like to sell him next summer. BUT if we can't and he keeps up like he's done so far, he doesn't get injured and Flick can maybe use him on CB to rest Cuba - than he'll never be close to be put in the same category as Terrorist and Umtiti, that's all that I'm saying.

We've had so much worse players, Kounde is decent and sometimes even offers something special. No player is perfect - sometimes Yamal sucks, sometimes Pedri goes missing and sometimes Cubarsi has a day off...

This doesn't surprise me anymore. Another instance in which Kounde demonstrates humility.

It's no less thanks to Flick's fair treatment of all players. On man management he's at the top of Barca managers.

Also shows the mentality of Ferran, to walk away from this coach and teammates.

Frankly, it is useless. The only reaction that counts is him cutting the shite on the field. And he ain't delivering on that end. Started the season with the same errors.

It's reported that he stays an hour extra most days to work on stuff.

He might simply be washed with no way back, but at least he knows he need to do better and is trying to work on it. If it doesn't work out he will probably leave without complaining.

What about our money. He can't just leave like that. Bring at least a 40m offer.

Fully amortized, 100% positive FFP revenue with any fee but the kicker are his wages which are high for a player who is so far down the squad list

Either he wins the spot which I doubt or he is moved in January, hoping perhaps the Porro rumors might be true

There are some rumours of Chelsea behind him. Maybe its just your usual international break rumours.

But I do see some PL clubs, ManYoo, Pool, behind him this winter. Hope it happens, and hope he leaves.
Its high time. I see no future with him.
