23 - Jules Koundé

As the club likely needs to gain money for transfers, he is one of the options that the club should look to sell imo.

He currently has a rather high market value.

He was doing quite well under Xavi as RB. With Flick's approach he just looks out of place. Just not the right fit for this system.

Club needs to learn to move on from good players and sell them for a high price when they are not the right fit.
 
8 months ago Deco bragged how he rejected inquiries about Kounde. Also, didn't know how old he is when he started naming Barca players and their ages.
Obviously out of his depth.

It's nothing new really. We usually let the rot set in and only sell when it's over.
 
Man, can we sell this bum and get an actual good RB who will elevate Lamaine's game? I am sick and tired of this player.

I am sure a Prem team will pay 60m for this bum. Please ofload him. I cant do this anymore.
 
Last season it was around one major fuck up a game.

This season there are multiple per game.

Today he had 7 or 8 absolute howlers on the ball that were lucky Getafe didnt make more of.
 
I think he will come good next season. But him and Blade had the biggest drop off in terms of performances this season from all players really. So, if the right offer comes our way, take it.

Bigger issue is I just don't trust us to sign good defenders.
 
Ridiculous to give him a new contract on a high wage last summer.

Was the time to sell when stock was apparently higher.

He was still poor 1v1 and making a lot of fuck ups last season in amongst some better moments.
 
Ridiculous to give what was largely considered the 2nd best RB in the world last season.

Player who helped us win 2 league titles in 3 years & a domestic treble a new contract.

No other club would do such a thing.
 
No one with any sense thought Kounde was anywhere close to 2nd best RB in the world.

That is a creation of some on here who dont have a clue.

As said at time.. it was the time to sell him while stock higher and had a better season.

Even more moronic to think every player that plays part in winning deserves a new big contract.

Same folk who thought Balde was 'only second to Mendes' at LB and couldnt get their head round why doesnt get picked for Spain.

Same folk who said Araujo was Barcas best CB and shouldnt be sold when suggested teams like Bayern in for him.
 
Should be sold if we'll keep him at RB.

He's an above average RB at best, and gets caught sleeping way too often even not considering the very high line we use.

He isn't good enough at RB to justify not selling him and using the funds elsewhere in the squad. He is a CB, and we should give him a run of games there, when we find a permanent RB.

If we want a defensive fullback many options are out there for cheaper. For a defense focused fullback, he is still making a lot of mistakes.
 
Atleast we can do is get a competent RB as a backup. Palestra or someone.

Give this bum some competition. If he's still a bum, then sell him next season.

The worst kind of fullback is those who are supposed to be specialists on one side but aren't really in either. I think Kounde is among them. Supposed to be a defensive FB but in reality he sucks in defense as much as in attack

Likes of Trent, Cancelo are horrible at defending but at least absolutely insane on the attacking side of the job

And then there is those who aren't considered specialists of either because they suck all around, i.e Balde

So our fullback pairing really is a big problem

Least we should do. But I would try to offload him, he's been terrible and is on huge wages. With the money we could sign an actual WC RB...
Also, Kounde is soon 28 - if we want to make some money of him this summer is probably the last we could get 40M for him. But we seem to have a sentimental bond with every single one of our players who doesn't want to move, afraid to hurt their feelings lol.

Sell both. Both of them can go to the Premier League, and we can definitely get €70–80 million for them. With that money, we can bring in Cancelo and two more full-backs.
 
Dont you know Kounde is 'best RB in world' and Balde only second to Mendes?

Thats what usual clueless ones tell us.
