We improved other areas of the team by selling a player from a area of the team we are strongest & cover booked with talented. With even more coming through the ranks.

Ps he's not going anywhere, we tried, I think he's literally the least likey person to leave the team, bro loves the city.
but it's just fun to state the obvious truth that he's so easily replaceable should he decide to leave.

Wont happen.

One of most important players in team and can sell many more before him to improve it.

He is there because they want him there and renewed.

They 'tried' because of his contract previously raising after the decrease years and it took a few weeks and back as starter making a difference.

Folk who claim he is 'easily replaceable' tell us all how Casado can replace him.. how Kessie could.. how Tielemans is better.. Tonali.. this summer it was 'we have the wrong Dutchman' and claimed Reijnders could. They think Zubimendi is better.

Usual folk with no clue on Barca midfielders and claimed Gundogan had to stay. Pedri has to play high up park. Gavi is 'more important' than Pedri.

If Frenkie left Barca he would get into any team going.. and probably should have left for his own career.

The happiest team going would be Real Madrid if Barca sold Frenkie rather than like of Kounde and 'top class' Casado as so many of the numpties want to happen.

Love this guy. Just have to wait his turn. Rodri & Silva are goats!!. You thinking you got a point like de jong would bench either in their current form. 😂 He would definitely send rodri to the bench.

The Netherlands should be happy though if they want to pull of a good run at the WC like they did at the euros. Another time de jong was out & not missed one bit. Thanks for reminding me. Reijnders will be key.

Tonali, zubi, Reijnders, ruiz, neves all his equal are better. Out here acting like de jong is some generational midfielder, but then again you probably do believe that, you did say he was 2nd only to rodri a few years ago.

Casado already literally replaced him wtf you talking about 😂. Remember he started against bayern & Madrid twice are was that someone else.

We are currently on a 800 - 1 without him due to his most recent injury 😂 😂. Are is this run also an illusion?.

Barca on like 11-1 run without your boy, down for 3 season in a row the team kept on ticking. Welllll you see what had happened was. Just keep it consistent boy. Very good player to have. By no means a vital player to have.

If it happened once. I would say ok.but 2!,3!,4! Times if we include the Euros. Nah son.

Same absolute nonsense... Casado was nowhere near Frenkie level and Barca were 7 points off Real and barely winning in months in league when did.

23/24 - Were top of table with him Barcas best player and Pedri out before injured ankle.
24/25 - Before fit Barca were 7 points off Real and that includes games he came off bench to help win v Real away etc.
25/26 - Very important in many games.

Do better.

Casado is utter dross and another player badly wrong on.
 
Don't know if it needs to be said anymore but damn what class. Crazy good footballer. One of those players whose quality in this team means I can absolutely see him bossing the midfield in the dream team we are going to make in 2-3 seasons.

Frenkie and Pedri, we don't appreciate enough. These guys are special.
 
Xavi entered his prime years around the same age he is now under coach, who used his talents to the fullest. Let's hope same repeats here with the new crop of talents rising their game the same way Barca did then.

Good shout on Xavi. 28 yeas old when Pep came in. Granted, won under Van Gaal as a teenager and Frank in his mid 20s but best was under pep.
 
He's 29 tomorrow. The oldest player in our midfield.
Will be 30 by the end of next season, crazy when you think about it.

Rodri is also 29. He's closer in age to the like of B Silva, Kimmich, B. Fernandez. Than Pedri.

I'm sure if you ask most random fans on the street they would think he's closer in age to Pedri than those I listed.
 
Yeah, he is a veteran, he's expected to provide leadership in the squad, if I'm not mistaken, he is the longest serving player on the current roster.

But he does it. He is a key piece in midfield and the younger players benefit immensely from working with him. He is the best pairing with Pedri.
 
It's been a month since FDJ has returned from injury and he's still holding the bench for Gavi with no indication whatsoever that he's going to be a starter in the double pivot anytime soon. Yet folk are swearing up and down he'll be a starter next season even if Gavi is healthy and that he's too important for the team to be dropped. Also coping that he isn't playing because he's either still not fully fit, or because he's holding out for the World Cup. LMAO. As if he's the only player on this squad with World Cup ambitions.

The extent to which his fanboys cope over him will never not be amusing. I wonder what they'll think next season when he's still not a starter for extended periods of time.
