Y'all are being too harsh on Frenkie. My only complaint about him is how he managed his injuries. Other than that, he's been our most consistent midfielder since he joined, with all due respect to Pedri, who is one of my favorite players.

Consistently mediocre perhaps.

Nah, it's mostly just banter on my part. I like Frenkie, but overall I think his period here has been disappointing. Especially considering his apparent talent and hype when we was a teenager. All in all I had hoped for more.
 
Constistently been best midfielder in classicos for years more than any other.

Been top player for Barca.

Players know it. Coaches know it.

Folk who got it massively wrong with likes of Gavi cant quite get over it.

Injuries been a down but still top.

His game v Real in Supercup last season was best any midfielder in Spain put in all season. Top top class.

Frenkie been by far the best midfielder in Classicos consistently.

With likes of Gavi folk purr for games Barca lose at home and he makes ONE forward pass all game.

Gavi has never had one single top game in midfield v Real. Not one.

Gavi fan boys cant handle they called it wrong and been trying every angle ever since.

Kessie...sensational.

One game.. and one goal in a game Frenkie dominated Reals midfield.. without Pedri and for second time in matter of weeks.

They didnt take long to come out at end of last season and making out he played well when didnt really.

Supefanboys has a nice twing to it.
 
Huh, well I didn't trawl the old forum religiously for quite a while up until it's demise, but I do think his hype died down quite drastically over the past few years.

But if his hype is gone, why go to such great lengths to belittle him and everything related to him (and not even related at all quite often) all day and every day? It's just so odd and excessive.
