20 - Dani Olmo

He was instrumental in winning both La liga titles, I don't get all the hate. He is technically superior to Fermin, and even more versatile and more creative.
He was bought for 55+7M on a 6 years contract. With most of add-ons being unlikely met ( Fabrizio Romano words). 2 of those years have passed, let's assume we paid 2M add-one so we are at 57M.

That means 38M remaining of amortization. So while yes, we can and should get more than that, it won't be enough to warrant selling him and needing to replace him.

Silva is old and will demand bigger salary. Thanks but no thanks.
Silva only if we sell Casado, don't get an RW backup and if he doesn't ask for insane wages. Silva would be brought in as a backup and should be paid as such (well + a little more since he'll be "free") - if he wants more than he's not for us because we already have a good midfield and 2 CAM's.

Expected more of him tbh. He missed a lot of chances he should have scored, coming centrally just outside the box or even inside. In Flick's system a 10 needs to be able to score goals, Olmo on paper should be the perfect player for that as he has a good shot but Fermin surpassed him there.

Wouldn't mind selling him if we can recoup most of what we spent.

It's really a rollercoaster with him. He started amazing in the first few months after the Euros where he was great too and we all hoped we got a great attacking midfielder for years even though there were worries about his injury history. Later last season the injuries started and he wasn't really fit until the end of the season. This season he's been healthy most of the time but shit compared to what he looked like in his first months here and in Euros. It's really hard to think he'll ever be consistently healthy and good, I would sell him if an offer comes that we at least break even with him if Bernardo is on the table.

Second half of this season injuries haven't been so much of a problem tbh. Don't know when was last time he was injured. Hopefully this is permanent and this is solved, if so props to the medical team

But there are still many things he has to solve. At his best he is a superb footballer with technical skill and ability only below Yamal, Pedri and Frenkie. But it is rare we see him in that form

If the injuries have really stopped, next season is a top opportunity

2 seasons and he hasn't shown anything that warrants the 60m price tag.

We should look for ways to offload him. Get some money, 20-30m if possible and get Silva instead.
We need a winner not a pussy.

Selling Olmo 20-30m would be top 5 worst transfer deals in history of sports

Usual moronic shite.

Barca would get a lot more than 20-30m for Olmo. Would get money back on him and been far from a flop.

Less injuries this year and still a decent input.

Far from a flop.
Not saying he's a flop. But the 60m price tag with all the hoops we had to go through to just register him.
While 1st year he was injured most of the time. I don't think he was worth it. 60m on another player would have been better.

Ya I might be selling him short. But don't think we will get 50m if we wanted to.
Maybe 40m

Fake news.

Could be worse. Could have signed Baena for 40 and got nothing in return on the pitch.

Yeah, I don't get the hate he gets.
He isn't some Zidane or De Bruyne for sure, far from it. He is still solid contributor overall and had 16 goal contributions in each season here despite missing time with injuries. AM is probably the only position I feel we have two players that are quality, even if neither is the top of this position.

Class flick for Torres goal but struggled to get involved in game outwith that and not much connection with Gavi/Pedri.

Gavi and Pedri played at very slow pace on the ball but not much more needed.

Camavinga I thought was best midfielder on the park and dont really rate him.

Sorta had time to reflect on the season and I think a lot of fans are sleeping on him. Was a big contributor to this season's La Liga title.

I am respecting his qualities more and it's something that is very unique to this team: He has this weird ability to bring total control to the AM/outside the box area of the pitch which is very useful during chaotic matches.

I think he's a little weak physically which is obviously not good for CL KO stages when you're up against a Bayern, Chelsea, Inter, etc, but has plenty of qualities that are very useful for LL.
