He would think of shooting. But he has never performed a placed shot. He goes for power and sends it skyhigh. Severely lacks in technique.
 
Half a year with Barca and he's getting called up and most likely a starter at his National Team.

Someone tell this to the other Joao whom we are linked to.

1st - This is the PR of Barca. You would be playing the final of the World Cup, let alone be in the squad, if you played for us.
2nd - Joao's have performed well for us.

So, push for this signing and cheapen your buyout. Thats the least you can do, and the upsides are astronomical for you.
 
Buying Cancelo actually helps Balde stay. He can drag on for another year/bid his time to take over again.

If we can't sign Cancelo we will look for starting LB surely and it's probably a younger one and that's adios to Balde.
 
One thing I don't like is the hype Cancelo is getting.

Saudi's surely would want his 15m buyout, and we wouldnt have much leverage in it. Inter will also be in for him.

I dont want to pay more than 5m for him.

He rejected Inter in January when there was a loan deal even reported to be done, as he was waiting on Barça - same would happen in a transfer. It's clear what the player's desire has always been. Player also has leverage since he was deemed surplus to needs by Inzaghi and were going to even let him go for free prior to the loan

They will negotiate but final number will end up between 4-8M in all likelihood, a bargain in any case

I really hope you're wrong, I think its for everybody to see that Balde doesn't belong at this level.
