He's washed up and it will show in big games. He'll probably do a job in most LL games though.
People wilding in here that he bleeds blaugrana forgot he's always been a journeyman who went for the bag. Of course he's willing to come back to a club like Barca. He would've done the same if the doors at Real were as open to him as ours.
A bum from my point of view, but better attacking wise than any fullback we have. Oh well, at least let's hope we get that CB and ST.

He would have made more money keeping his contract with the Saudis. So I hope he kept the receipt for the Barca bag he is meant to have just bought. 
The question for him is what he will do in the big games, against most teams he'll cook.
He's one of the most technically gifted FBs ever but their is a reason he never stayed at a big club. Compared to other technically gifted FBs like alves and marcelo. It's because his attacking qualities don't make up for what teams lose on the other end.
I would start a fit in form balde in big games over him.
But I'm happy he's here but also wouldn't be fussed if he didn't come.

what's an in form Balde?
A sight as rare as a total solar eclipse.
We have two full years of it since being promoted.
Including a domestic treble season a year ago.

If we win the CL with balde Serghei will be telling the entire world balde is the exact fullback team's teen to get those type of tournaments. It's your calling card.
In today's modern game this type of guy is very rare. He GENUINELY is a fan of the club and wants to play for us. He would have easily collected a big cheque and sat on the bench in Saudi.
Defensively he is very suspect but his attitude and his attacking talents in Flicks system will bail him out.

Catches an unexpected train to one of the biggest clubs in the world when he was irelevant between camels in Saudi and now wants a second go. I he was a 'genuine fan' he would have made moves towards us when he was in his prime.Truth is he's just another footballer looking after his bag. He figured out living in a normal country with a couple of millions in the bank is not that bad.
If Madrid would have been interested he would've ended up there. That's how big of Barca fan he is.

Truth is there is no loyalty in football. Individuals choose their path related to their personal interests. If those interests are also aligned to a certain club then it comes easy to yap shite about love for club and all that.
If Yamal doesn't get what he wants he'll leave, simple as. Maybe he won't leave to Madrid as that hurts his image, but he can get same bag or satisfaction elsewhere.
Cancelo would have went to wathever big club wanted him when he was milking camels. Since Barca wants him again he can post lies on Instagram that he loves the club and all that. Suckers will gubble it up in no time.
He went to Saudi because Barça couldn't afford to buy him and City didn't want another loan, but a permanent solution. Barça needed all their money for Olmo.
Regarding fan of the club: you can also become a fan of the club when you play for them. Cancelo obviously came around quite a lot and seemingly nowhere had the same feeling he had when playing for Barça.
What matters is that at the end of the day Deco and him found a way to transfer him back without paying Saudis for it. Let him have his sign-in fee if so. Y'all know Cancelo is the best possible option for that price.
